“One Year Anniversary Perfection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2008

Oct 5-6, 2008, my wife and I plan on spending the night of our first year anniversary in a B&B. With no plans, we decide to take a trip though Sutton Bay and notice this cute house on the end of the strip called "Korner Kottage" and could not help but call and find out if they could accommodate us for the night. Linda answered the phone and was so nice, informing us of the fall rate and bragging about Jim's gourmet breakfast. We had to book it! We went out to dinner, and met a great couple that was staying at the B&B as well. We stayed up pretty late sharing our funny "how we met" stories, jobs, and even politics. We went to bed in the most comfortable bed and we were awoken to the smell of coffee and artesian pancakes baking in the oven. Jim and Linda were so nice and outgoing and took the extra steps to make sure our visit and our anniversary was special. Thanks again!

My husband & I are from MI but have lived in NC for 4 yrs now. I have always loved and missed the beautiful North and the fall colors so we decided to make a trip with my sister & brother in-law for the weekend. It was awesome!!! Jim and Linda are like great family that you dont see that often. The B & B is beautiful and the breakfast is to die for... Jim makes the best Granola:) They even made a fire for us after we had returned from dinner. We will be back and look forward to seeing them again. Thanks for everything!!!!

I'm not one for b&bs in general, but I felt completely comfortable here. Our hosts, Linda & Jim were really nice people - helpful, but hands off, which I liked. We only stayed one night, so my husband & I didn't get much of a chance to experience the place. I will say that the breakfast was wonderful. They are very accommodating for dietary needs (my husband & I are vegetarian). The front porch is a great place to hang out, and we took full advantage of the many magazines scattered around the place. The Paris room was immaculately clean (and I'm picky) and very comfortable. Nice amenities like a mini fridge stocked with water (glad to see it wasn't bottled water). Overall experience from booking through our short stay was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Disliked — Can be a bit noisy in the morning from street traffic.

We are so happy that we chose Korner Kottage for our 40th wedding anniversary trip. The location, scenery, hospitality, outstanding breakfasts were all that we hoped for! The hosts were kind and very helpful, the company of other guests was very comfortable, and breakfast in the beautiful garden a treat. Thank You Jim and Linda!

Our stay at Korner Kottage was a wonderful getaway. We have been to the area many times before and I must say that staying at the Korner Kottage was by far the best time we had.Jim and Linda are wonderful hosts. The home is beautiful and impeccable. The breakfasts in the garden made getting up and moving something to look forward to.I even bought my own ebelskiver pan when I got home. You will not be disappointed with your visit.
