Am always sceptical about these farms, thinking it would end up being a lonely ageing goat and a half deflated bouncy castle ! This place it is definately not. I got talking to the gardener (he managed to harvest a right angled cucumber !! ) who told me the "history" of the farm (dairy farm not financially viable in the end, family took chance of turning into this park).....and very well done to you I must say.You took that chance and it is paying off. It's a well thought out attraction with enough to keep my 7 & 5 yr olds happy for what was at least a good 5 hours.Food and drink prices are more than reasonable. The restaurant was packed on a Thursday lunchtime and the waitresses work tirelessly serving food. You have good staff there adventurefarm...take note.
Enough animals to see and stroke etc.Tractor rides entertaining enough for the kids as was the bouncy items/play areas etc.More than sufficient parking for cars and it's FREE !!! Toilets very clean as was the whole farm.Sufficient picnic benches to take a break for food/coffee.The maize maze takes a long time and i know it's the point, but it is easy to get lost (staff available to help if/when you need assistance). It probably takes an hour I reckon.
All in all ,well worth a visit and we'd deffo return if in the area again.
Adventure farm ...... how about doing cream teas ? selling clotted cream/milk ? (if able) from them Jersey cows of yours and i reckon a fishing pond/small lake (for serious anglers) somewhere on the farm would be a good revenue source.
I wish you all the very best in your adventure farm. You have got a good thing going here.
