We didn't get a chance to peruse through this new found location, schedule didn't permit it. We will definitely be back and thoroughly go through what looks like an awesome transformation of a former state hospital into a chic, progressive establishment filled with businesses and eateries!

This is a must see attraction in the Traverse City area. The history of these buildings is amazing. The architecture itself is worth the visit. There are many shops and eateries to see and visit but we enjoyed just walking around and taking in the history. A trip to Traverse City would not be complete without seeing this place.

Newly developed village with shops and restaurants to stimulate the local economy in Traverse City. Still incomplete but has potential. Worth a visit.

This is a former mental hospital with beautiful arcitecture that has stood the test of time. Developers have transformed many of the buildings in to shops and restaurants, while keeping the landmark historically intact. The grounds are perfect for just sitting outside and having a picnic or simply going for a walk. They also hold many festivals during the year. There is something for everyone. Come enjoy the indoor farmers market, too!!! I know you will enjoy this complex as much as my family does.

Historic buildings fascinate me and I have to applaud those involved in the preservation and redevelopment of this historic structure. The architecture is beautiful and it is worth a visit to see this sprawling building complex. Inside the renovated building, the shops and restaurants are located on the lower level. The hallways are wide and well-lit. A variety of art work and informative signs about the local history are displayed along the walls of the halls. I came here for the building’s architecture and its history … not for shopping. However, I did wander through a few of the shops. As for the shops, I think this project is a work in progress and I wish them luck and success. Also, a visit here should include a drive by the rear side of the building for a completely different appearance – it’s kinda cool to see the eerie neglected back yard.
