“Very nice and fun place”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Really nice place with lots of fun things for younger kids. Watermark is clean and nice. Smaller than a place like Kalahari, but more personal and manageable too. Really more for younger kids, but everyone will still have fun regardless of age. We Causally took late teens and they had a good time too.

The hotel is very cleaning. The staff seems to be very nice.. The water park is big enough for the whole family to enjoy. Very well kept up . The room is a pretty good size. The microwave and refrigerator do come in handy . The only downfall to this trip is everything cost money money money. The paw passes are nice except for if you have more than one kid.$$ The wands are nice besides having kids run around in the hallways. The Arcade seems a little pricey per game but fun. Be sure that if you're in the bakery and it says buy one get one free note it's because they are going stale . They did give us new cupcakes but again they were a bit stale and the lady informed us that they don't tell people its buy one get one free for that purpose. The pizza is good and reasonably priced. But all and all its a great family trip . REMEMBER save up some money when planning this trip.

This was our second visit to the lodge and we rented two rooms. The children's ages ranged from 3-8. They loved the water park. The lifeguards are very sharp and " on their toes". The water activities appeal to all ages. The children enjoyed the magic quest and story time. We had an extra treat a " magic show" - the magician was most entertaining . They also enjoyed the arcade....

The rooms were clean but do show signs of wear. Customer service was excellent throughout the lodge. We did eat at the restaurant for an evening meal and they were able to seat 11 of us without a problem.

We will definitely return !!!

Room Tip: The rooms closer to the water park will be noisier....

Online booking was very easy and had budget friendly add on's. Prices seemed ok for weekdays. Check in was quick and easy was given wolf ears for our daughter and asked for ears for the adults and was given those as well. Received key cards, waterpark wristbands, breakfast vouchers, and paw pass. Very friendly desk staff. Was told to park by door 1 but would have to walk down stairs to enter bldg (FYI: need key card to open bldg door, l liked the safety of bldgs) stairs were not a big deal but was not told about the ramp for luggage carts just around the corner from door 1 it would have been handy to know. Room was spacious and clean except the carpet it had many stains (not surprised it's a family hotel and kids are messy, not a big deal)

We went to water park where daughter was given another wristband which specified height and allowed and prohibited her into certain areas of park. Indoor park was extremely clean, had seating, a snack bar, lots of lifegaurds, towels and lockers in park and in restroom hall. Indoor was very warm - too warm and sweaty in our opinion it was almost to hot to be in if you were not in the water, Great Wolf recommended you stay hydrated but wanted $2.50 for a bottle of water. NOT PAYING THAT. Lockers were available for rent, I was expecting the usual .50 cents, nope $10.00 deposit and $10.00 fee !?!? per day. Then when you return the key they offer you a stuffed animal or your ten dollars, we took the $ but if you return the key with your kids in tow they might give you "the look" and then you leave with another stuffy. We decided we would not get a locker but on day two I wanted to take pics and needed somewhere to put my camera. So my suggestion is on day 1 make your family / kids pose for waterpark pics before they can play so you can take the camera back to the room and be done with it. Lazy river had a great current that really moves but you only move in a oval , very short. Daughter loved the tube slides and the kids climbing fort with big bucket and body slides (no water shoes on body slides) Small pool with floating toys and obstacle course is popular and kinda crowded. Small pool with basketball was also popular and got rowdy at times. Did not do outside pool -bad weather.

Bought Paw pass it pre pays for lots of extras that kids just show their pass and they cross it off , no money needed. The paw pass included swim goggles, a cup of Mike and Ikes, a build a stuffed friend , a game of mini golf (didn't get to do, bad weather) , a glitter tattoo (which says waterproof but staff recommends waiting to get until finished swimming they say it's not chlorine proof- we got anyway it was fine), a scoop of ice cream (generous size), mini bowling (went to do day of check out and said closed for maintenance, spoke with desk they said will be done in 1hr so we waited, went back to bowling guy said many more hours, disappointing for daughter, told desk I wanted a refund for the value of the bowling gave us $5 on pass to arcade, pleased they were somewhat accommodating but this is a resort geared at kids, maintenance that shuts down activities should be completed after closing time) & Magi Quest game and wand, (Game was fun and challenging at times and shut down at 10pm with no warning even during play. Wands are very temperamental and may need to be reset in store.) All store staff were very friendly.

Clock tower show was geared towards the 5 and under crowd. but cute with the kids in their jammies.

We purchased the breakfast passes because we didn't want to leave to eat breakfast. day 1 -Monday- Our Camp Critter restaurant experience started off bad.We were never told that we needed to make reservations so when we showed up to eat we had to wait 20 mins (not a big deal if we would have expected it) once sat were give menus to choose a meal or buffet. Went with the buffet it was kinda hard to get to weird pillars were in the way but overall food was average, buffet was messy and empty at time had to wait more than 20 mins at times for buffet to be refilled, we were not the only ones annoyed. day 2- Tuesday- called for reservation said it was not needed. We were seated right away. Wonderful waitress who when we ordered the buffet told us that omelets are also included just had to ask for them. Buffet was the same but were out of plates. Not monitored very well.

One night got pizza by pool area it was very good. Tip: If you drink soda go to pizza store and get a souvenir cup $13.00 but free refills, could save you money and your kids get a cup.

Overall our trip was fun but not like OMG I have to go back. After staying we felt it was a bit overpriced at $620 for 2 nights , 1 paw pass, and bfast for 2 days. Our daughter had fun and that is what matters the most.

Now with alllllllll that being said. here are OUR biggest problems with Great Wolf, #1 alcohol being sold and consumed everywhere by the end of the night there are so many drunk people with their kids it's RIDICULOUS so much you can smell it on them. Alcohol has a time and a place, we feel GWL is not it. #2 unattended children; there were loads of kids with no supervision, cutting in lines and being rude. Not the environment I want my kid around.

I know not everyone has the same feelings but these are ours. Thanks I hope this helps makes your trip planning a better experience.

We stayed at this hotel in July. The room was large and the kids had a separate little room with bunk beds that was really cute. However, the kids beds had a hard mattress and it was wrapped in plastic under the sheets so it was kind of noisy but they didn't mind. Adult bed was fine. Carpet was a bit stained in the room but not surprised since so many families stay here, kids will eventually spill something. The water park in awesome. The wizard quest is great too although a bit pricey. My 7 year old daughter said the wizard quest was her favorite thing. The lobby is adorable. You really feel like you are in a lodge up in Yellowstone. Overall, great fun but a little pricey.

This resort is wonderful for people with kids. The hotel is clean, safe, and very welcoming. When you walk through the door to check in there is a catchy song playing and they have a spot for the kids to color while you wait. Once you get your keys the kids get their wolf years and the whole way down the hall the kids howled. The rooms are very cute with special cabins for the kids room. The place has a Dunkin on location and has an awesome water park, arcade, and golf course. Though it is very pricey it was very fun.

Room Tip: pay a little extra for the cabin rooms...

We originally booked this reservation with our teenage daughter in mind. She ended up not going because of another stay away camp opportunity and so my wife and I ended up going there ourselves. We initially felt out of place without having children with us but we enjoyed the waterpark ourselves along with the outdoor pool and bar. We invited some nieces and nephews to join us and they had a blast.

The room was spacious and had a small refrigerator and microwave. The Dunkin Donuts on site was great for morning coffee. We didn't eat at the restaurant so I can't speak to that. My only complaint is that the beds were not great. One of the two queen beds was sagging a lot, I suspect because of children jumping on the bed repeatedly over a year or two.

Overall, I think it was a good value for the price and would stay there again.
