Wonderful volunteer staff, always smiling. Great films, and fabulous ambiance! The most comfortable theatre seats you ever sit in. Great visibility, great everything! The FilmFest alone is worth making the trip to Traverse if you haven't attended yet.

Think about how many movies you see a year. What if you had a theatre right downtown that is considered one of the greatest small theatres in the world, with a unique selection of great films, affordable ticket prices and cheep awesome popcorn. It's beautiful and the seats are very comfortable, run by volunteers. We in TC are truly blessed to have a place like this in our home town!

Amazing redo. there was nothing that I disliked. Lot of time and effort went into this place. Should be a stop for everyone.

Decor and atmosphere are wonderful, and real big screen. We saw the US vs. Germany for free. Looking forward to seeing a movie there on our next trip.

There are good things, no great things about a small town cinema. The good things are the friendly helpful staff that work the ticket booth and small concession stand. The "bad" things are some of the facilities are pretty small. We just saw the 100 foot Journey. A great movie. We could hear and see the screen very well. But the seating for a couple of not too overweight people was very tight. So we were glad the movie wasn't longer. The popcorn smelled very good, but past experience reminded me that it was a bit dry. But I didn't go there for the popcorn. Well, I would have liked it if there was some butter to be on it. They had lots of flavored salt you could use. And the bathroom for the women was a one seater, so the line grew a little long, but ultimately we had a bathroom so that was fine. The biggest complaint I had was the very tight seating. There was no place for our arms. But if you want the unique experience of an old time movie theatre, then this one's for you. Their movies are current fare and they even show some that are new to the States because of the Traverse City Film Festival. I'm sure we'll go again, but not for a little while.
