My girlfriend and I were working on some relationship issues so we went to Traverse City to hash things out. We stayed at the Chateau Grand Traverse. It's an Inn that's on the biggest winery in Michigan. This house was HUGE and just spectacular inside, especially when you have It to yourself. No one was staying their during that week so we had a great time because we had the run of this million dollar home all to ourselves and because it was during the week in the off-season it was only like $125.00 a night. The views over the grape fields, with the bay in the distance is something out of a movie. I recommend this for any couple looking to get away for a few days. Especially for the price. I've spent hundreds to stay at a sub-par quality compared to this place.

My husband and I were recently in Traverse City for a family reunion. We didn't realize until it was too late that we had arrived at the height of tourist season. Ooops. The bayfront hotel we had booked was very nice, but was completely overrun with family vacationers. We love kids, but the only room available was located on the main level, adjacent to the pool entrance and suffice it to say we were losing our minds. After a sleepless night, I called a few local inns and was lucky enough to book a room at The Inn at Chateau Grand Traverse. We packed up & fled the hotel, not knowing what to expect. To our delight, we found the Inn to be just beautiful, surrounded by landscaped gardens adjacent to a working vineyard on the east side of Old Mission Peninsula. Our nicely appointed queen bedroom featured a living area with sofa and bistro style table for two, fully stocked kitchenette, private bath and private balcony. We bought a bottle of wine at the vineyard's own retail store next door, unpacked, sighed, popped the cork and enjoyed the rest of our stay in a peaceful state of bliss. Incredibly, the Inn was actually less expensive than the hotel room. We'll be back to try the merlot!

This is the most relaxing, peaceful place to stay. Quiet, friendly and completely relaxing in every way. The complimentary bottle of wine in your room is wonderful. The view from the balcony of your room is stuning. All accomodations are top notch. You will want for nothing. The breakfast is full of fresh fruits and baked goods. There is plenty to do in the area and a winery tour with wine tasting is excellent. We had the most wonderful stay.

In the midst of vineyards on the Penninsula and adjacent to the Chateau Grand Traverse winery stands this small 6 rm inn that I can't say enough about. My husband and I like peace and quiet and here you will find it. You'll pay more than the standard chain hotels/motels in TC,but it's well worth it. We've stayed here at least 7 times and only had a problem once with noisy guests next door which was quickly resolved by management.
The staff is helpful and friendly,it's extremely clean and comfortable and the views(from all rooms-we've stayed in all but one,and saw that room as well when unoccupied) are all wonderful! It feels like a bit of France or Italy in this part of Michigan.Breakfast is included and though they may tell you it's continental,it's a cut above. Help yourself in the kitchen to yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, eggs, toast, etc as well as juice, milk, coffee. It's fun to sit at the table with the other guests and make some new friends, share travel experiences. Or if you're feeling more private, take your food back to your room. Each room has a microwave, refrig, sink and plenty of cupboard space with utensils. A bottle of wine from the Vineyard is included each night in each room.

I could go on and on about this special place, but just experience it yourself and I think you'll agree.

(Adults only).
