“Chat with a friend over tea/coffee and a scone”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Quiet place with a view of West Bay. Great place to stop for a quick snack and visit with frends. In the summer there is outside seating.

“Good coffee, stale scones”
Reviewed 9 April 2013

This little coffee house is tucked away in an office building at the corner of M-22 and M-72 in Traverse City. It's not a place that you would notice, let alone stop casually in to grab a quick cup. Parking is tricky (the lot is often full) and ingress and egress can be a challenge. I drive by it all the time to get to other coffee shops, but last week I made it a point to stop in. It's pretty disappointing, as coffee shops go: my scone must have been three days old, and hard and stale. The coffee was ok....well, average. And while I was there I heard two guys on their cell phones--one doing sales calls, and the other buying tickets for a basket ball game. Both had their laptops open and were clearly using this as an office away from home. They were both seated on an upper deck, so their voices carried and every word they said was articulated clearly and loudly. It's not likely I'll go back there again...this town is filled with coffee shops with better coffee, fresh pastries, and more lively conversation.
