A great breakfast and lunch place in the heart of Traverse City. The food was well prepared and promptly served. We would've had breakfast there every day during our stay except they were closed on Sunday. The only thing missing is fresh squeezed orange juice

We dined at Greenhouse Cafe 3 days in a row, once for lunch and 2 times for breakfast. We had only had breakfast before and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I had a corned beef sandwich and it was STACKED with corned beef. I prefer my sandwiches warm and when I asked the waitress she took it right back and they warmed it on the grill-delicious! My husband had the TC reuben with its own Traverse City touch of cherrykraut, he loved it! For breakfast on our 2 visits we had oatmeal, omelets, pancakes and french toast. All were delightful!!! The staff is the BEST, so very friendly and they aim to please. We saw Wally working all around the restaurant, cooking, bussing tables, bringing things from the back. We are HUGE fans and look forward to returning to Traverse City and the Green House!

You better get here early if you don't want to wait. The homemade soups, baked goods, and daily special specials are fantastic. It is only open for Breakfast and Lunch but you can always buy some homemade baked goods to tide you over until they open again.

This is in response to Gerry's review of Green House Café in DT TC. Green House Café is named after the family who own the little breakfast/luncheon- Green. If Gerry actually went in and ate the food or asked how they got their name he would have known this information.

They are super friendly and customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. They have some new gluten free breads available, gluten free and vegetarian soups, along with the other 7 soups made fresh daily; variety of salads and sandwiches and so on. Not to forget to mention, they were just awarded best breakfast in town (baked oatmeal) and voted to have one of the best servers in town per the local survey.

Just goes to show anyone can make comments on the internet without any substance to back it up. Check it out for yourself!

This is an excellent dining option for lunch in downtown TC. They have excellent sandwich options and always about 6 homemade soups daily. Their soups and salads excellent and they make all their baked good daily--beyond yummy! I have never had a bad meal here--it has been a downtown dining staple in TC for years--with good reason--the good survive--love this place! Try anything on their menu--I doubt it would ever disappoint.
