Wonderful place to do a wine tasting. The young lady that conducted our tasting was very knowledable and they did not have a problem with two of us sharing one tasting, as I was driving and did not want to drink too much. Their Reisling is awesome here. I can't wait to go back again!!

My husband and I stumbled upon Tastes while walking through the villages. The lady was very nice and really helped us find wines we would like to try. As with all wineries some were delicious and some not so much. We want home with a bottle of cider and a Riesling. I would recommend Tastes for a nice taste if wine.

We brought my parents to traverse city and brought them to the Taste of Black Star Farms since they are both wine lovers. While the wine tasting was excellent, the Matterhorn dinner, was anything but that. The portion was extremely small for two to split. It was more like an extremely expensive appetizer. We would not recommend at all for that reason. Although the ambiance was lovely and very romantic, the food was not worth the price :(

We were brought here by our tour director. The winery combines with a horse farm and is in a beautiful location.
We had a tasting of 4 varieties of wine and then went into a private room for an elegant dinner.
Maybe because we were on a tour (and a top quality one at that!), but we were given only 2 choices of entrees. Ours wasn't too bad but the other was fairly inedible and complaints were made. The wine that was offered was the house wine and very good.

We always make a stop at the beautiful Black Star Farms and enjoy a wine tasting. It is a very popular destination and the wait can be a bit long...but worth it. While we still found our favorites, we were a bit disappointed in a few of the "new" tastings. This is still a must stop for wine lovers!
