Rooms were nice and spacious, jacuzzi tub was great and king size bed was amazing! The view from our balcony opens right out onto Grand Traverse Bay and was breath taking. Staff was very helpful and the beach was groomed daily. We will definitely be back again someday.

I read all the reviews saying to avoid the rooms next to the pool- after we were already placed in a room next to the pool. Good thing I didn't know that it was supposed to be a bad thing, because we thought being able to walk right out our door and onto the pool deck was GREAT. Traveling with kids, we found this super convenient. We didn't have a problem with noise, although we do tend to bring most of the noise with us where ever we go. I'm sure having an upper level deck with a better view of the lake would have been nice too. So, in short... I think you can't go wrong whichever location you get, although if you aren't planning to use the pool, then you might want to go for an upper level.

I would definitely stay here again, without hesitation.

Room Tip: Next to the pool deck is great if you have kids using the pool.

The room was bright & cheerful but this is definitely a more old-fashioned, dated motel than resort. Beach looked great but we had bad weather & didn't use it.
Biggest complaint: We were told we were getting TWO QUEEN-SIZE beds. What they gave us was a double bed & pull-out couch. When we called the front desk they said that they counted the sofa sleeper as a bed and claimed they were both queen size. Absolutely NOT!
We felt it was a rip off for $250/night.

I liked the room. They were pretty dated but the room sizes are generous and the view was amazing. The balcony views and the sounds/smell of the lake are just breathtaking. Great, great views! I wish they would upgrade the balcony/beach seating though. Super uncomfortable and a little on the cheapo end but again....you can't beat this view.

Tub in the room was great, bed comfort/sheets was "fair". I don't have anything nice to stay about the daily "room cleaning" other than they could step up their game.

Nice size fridge to bring home goodies, coffee pot was small and understocked but that wouldn't have been a big deal if they kept coffee fresh in the main lobby (which they didn't).

Service is a little bit of a "self-service" feel but most of the staff were nice.

I would stay again.

Room Tip: Awesome view.

Have stayed many times at this resort and love it! Rooms are well appointed and clean. Roomy balconies, continental breakfast in the morning. The beach is very well maintained and the staff is pleasant and courteous. We like the third floor rooms for the view. If stairs are a concern, make sure to let them know. One of the buildings does not have an elevator.
