I just returned from a weekend getaway with my mom and my sister, and we had a marvelous time staying at the Wellington. Barb and Hank were lovely--welcoming, friendly, informative, and very attentive. The house is absolutely stunning, and they have done an amazing job restoring and decorating. We had so much fun exploring and hanging out in the converted 3rd story ballroom! The breakfasts were delicious, and the hospitality could not have been better. We hope to be back in the summer when it's a bit warmer!

Room Tip: For a party of three, the Ramsdell Chamber was a great fit!

The Wellington Inn is the nicest B&B my husband and I ever stayed at. We stayed on the third floor in the Milliken Room. The room and private bath were large and beautifully decorated. The bath was spotlessly clean. Barb's breakfasts were delicious and filling. Barb and Hank thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. They provided helpful restaurant hints and directions. They even provided snacks (home baked cookies) in the kitchen on the third floor. We would highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I stayed here the first weekend in October and absolutely loved it. Owners Barb and Hank were wonderful and very gracious and welcoming. They provided everything needed and everything was very clean. This Inn was also decorated beautifully. It was beautiful but very homey and welcoming. Final note, the breakfasts were AMAZING! If we travel up this way again, we would definitely stay here again.

Could hardly wait to come home from Traverse City and write this review for The Wellington Inn.
My family shares a lot of history in Traverse City, and we decided to return there for some celebratory time. We were so fortunate to stay here at this Inn.

The owners Barbara and Hank were the most lovely and gracious hosts and their staff were
just as friendly. We were welcomed whole-heartedly and felt like princesses in this fully restored 1901 mansion. Breakfasts were delicious and lively..... we often woke up in the morning to tasty aromas coming from the kitchen. After a day of walking through charming downtown, we would come "home", put our feet up in the living room for a time of relaxation and converstion.

What I found amazing is just how solid this home was restored. There were six other occupied guestrooms on our floor, and we Never heard them when we were all retired for the night.

Please put this Inn on your A List !!!!

Barb and Hank have a beautiful historic home with a carriage house that is nicely appointed. We stayed in the carriage house in both the Art Deco room and the French Country with another couple. Love the French Country, but the Art Deco has more room and an extra bath. They provide everything you could need and fresh baked cookies to boot. Full kitchen with all the "stuff" you'd need if staying one night or one week. If you need anything they are happy to oblige. It is a great location with easy walking distance to great restaurants, the beach, and shopping. The neighborhood is fun to walk around and see the other historic homes that have been restored in the area. We have come up several times and always enjoy ourselves and the accommodations.

Room Tip: Haven't stayed inside, but saw all the rooms and they look great. The Carriage House is like hav...

I just had the most relaxing and welcoming weekend at Barb and Hank's Wellington Inn. This was my first time staying at a B&B. They're inn is a masterful display of a bygone era and perfectly tended to by the owners and their first-rate staff. The food was home made and very good, especially for those with big breakfast appetites. Fresh fruit cut into bite sized pieces and juice was followed by a full breakfast. Large (brat sizes) spicy chicken sausage served with egg frittata and banana nut bread on the first morning. The breakfast on the second morning was even more of a "Wow!". The in-house baking and cooking made the house smell so good! The coffee was very good and we liked sitting down at the same time as all the guests. The third floor kitchen, (for guests to use for their convenience), was fully stocked with all the things you would be looking for in your own pantry for snack time or you can use it for lunch or dinner prep for yourself. The housekeeping girls are a real hoot and full of energy and they have this place in tip-top shape. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming and safe. I can't wait to see what Barb and Hank will do for Christmas! We hear they put up over 20 Christmas trees throughout the house! Hank will tell you "It's all Barb's doing", but we know she has a great right-hand-man. I feel like I spent the weekend recharging. Inspired by this beautiful home and by the excellent shopping experiences. This was just what I needed. Thanks to our new friends in Traverse City.

Room Tip: You will want to go back to try each of the 10 or 11 rooms. It's so unique!
