“Great Hotel!”
Reviewed 17 June 2012

I knew the Drury Inn chain had high standards and so I knew this would be a nice stay. The fact that they were able to impress me even more than what I expected was a great surprise. From the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the room and the wonderful breakfast and evening Kickback cocktail hour. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Now, to hear me rave like this is a surprise because I was in the hotel business many years ago and I have very high standards for any place that I stay. My sister was with me and she, too, raved about it. Her standards are even higher than my own. The only issue I had was that there was no fan in the bathroom so, the mirror was fogged up after you got out of the shower. If you want a great place to stay that is clean, friendly and has everything you could need in a place, be sure to stay at the Drury Inn and Suites when visiting Troy, MI.

Room Tip: You may want to ask for a room away from the back of the building to avoid freeway noise but it wasn...

A wonderful place to stay. They think of everything. The free breakfast has waffles, sausage, eggs, ham, biscuits and gravy, bagels. You name it! Supper is the same thorough offering. You won't go hungry here. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great pool and hot tub with plenty of towels. And the location can't be beat, 5-min drive to Somerset Mall, Meijers, many interesting restaurants. And a lot less expensive than neighboring hotels.

We booked the room as a part of a birthday celebration for our 8 yr old daughter. At check in we mentioned that fact, and had a free up grade coupon. The front dest clerk Aida was more than helpful...she was able to place us in the family suite. We had previously stayed in a king suite, the family suite is just huge! When we went down for dinner, Aida was the "bar tender", and made our 8yr old a special cocktail of her own...(non alcoholic of course!) Aida really made our little girl's day and was very accomodating in every way. When we left our little girl made a card to express how special Aida made her feel during our stay. We loved the pool area, and I personally loved the huge tub in the bathroom. We can't wait to stay here again! Excellant experience.

Room Tip: become a gold key member, they give "free upgrade" coupons. You have to wait until you ch...

My wife and I stayed here on June 6th as part of a shopping trip to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets. We chose this property as a result of our previous experience with the Drury Inn property in Frankenmuth.

This property was not up to par with the other one in Frankenmuth, not even close. We had booked a King Bedroom, and well lets say the bed did not look King sized, as our feet hung off the end of the bed, and we are not tall people. The bedspread had stains on it as well as a nice burn hole. The mattress was hard and the pillows so soft your head was on the mattress, needless to say it was not a comfortable sleep.

The worst part was that the bathroom door did not close, and the bathroom had another major flaw. The sprinkler from the fire system met the bar in the shower which did not allow for the shower curtain to be pulled across, which resulted in water all over the floor.

Needless to say we did not stay a second night, even though the manager Joe begged us to stay on the house in a jacuzzi suite, it was not worth it. We opted to stay at the Hampton Inn at Great Lakes Crossing which was totally awesome and worth the extra money.

We will not be back to this property even though all the extras are tempting, they were not enough to make up for this experience.

Stayed two nights before my husband left for Afghanistan and received amazing customer service from ALL the staff. Every staff members we passed would speak, smile and offer assistance. Rooms were clean, beautiful and in pristine condition. Close enough to the highway for easy on and off, but far enough away that did not have road noise. I would recommend this property to everyone. Btw, they allow pets at no charge-so we were able to take our four-legged children along!

This is a very clean and well run hotel. There are many extras including a wonderful breakfast a "kick back" snack time (more like a meal) at 5:30 with alcoholic drinks and food included with your room. Long distance calling and free intranet is also included.
It is quieter during the week as it is mostly business travellers. Weekends see sports teams and lots of kids. We enjoy the week day stays. Great area for shopping and dinning!
Staff are wonderful and always willing to please!
