“Great family value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2013

This hotel was very clean. It had an updated decor with high end touches. The staff was stupendous, making sure our stay was pleasurable. Can't beat all the extras...hot snacks, (alcoholic) drinks for the adults and a fabulous breakfast in the morning. My "tween" kids were thankful that the pool went up to 5'. I liked the fact that it had both a refrigerator AND a microwave in the room. My only complaint was that I felt that my mattress (or mattress pad) was a little lumpy. The rest of my family slept fine. We will definitely be seeking out other Drury Hotels as we travel. In my opinion, it rivals (and surpasses) many of the more expensive chains. You can't beat it for the price!

I'm a fan of the chain in general, but this property was by far the most updated we've ever stayed in. The bathrooms were huge and had a separate shower and garden tub. The food was great both in the morning and for 5:30 Kickback. The manager showed us personal attention during our stay.

There is good shopping near by, and the only slight downside is getting out...one way roads make it kind of a pain. Well worth it though, since the pet-friendly policies and extras make this a great place to say.

We love the Drury Inn. This hotel is clean, the rooms are nice, and the staff is top notch. The breakfast and evening reception are wonderful. The kids loved the pool and the popcorn treat afterward. We will be staying here again when we are in the Detroit area.

When we visit Michigan, we always stay at the Drury on Big Beaver Road, it is easily accessible from I-75 either N or S. The front staff are very welcoming when you come into the hotel. We were taken care of by Luli, who we remembered before when we stayed at the Drury, she is very pleasant and outgoing, what a great way to start your stay! We requested an early check-in and they were ready for us. Any time that we had to ask for anything the staff is always great. The manager was also very nice when we were there. The rooms have been upgraded, what a comfortable bed! The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. We had fresh towels each day and our room was always very clean each day. The breakfast is great, not just bagels and toast. The food staff in the morning were very pleasant and happy. We didn't have the evening food, as we were not at the time. I would have to say that overall, this hotel, is worth staying at if you want a clean and friendly hotel that is affordable, and, if you want friendly staff. I believe that if you have good management, you have happy employees and this place has just that!

The Drury Inn &Suites in Troy MI, is a clean, upscale hotel. Great employees, front desk, was very helpful . Comp Happy Hour and Breakfast was awesome, Great pool and fitness area, ice machines and vending machines on all floors. The rooms are done to the 9's, very very clean, the beds oh the beds are so comfy. It has easy access to the Inter State 75 . Noise in this hotel was none. We forgot our Happy Hour passes, and instead of the staff making us go all the way back up to our room , they just gave us 2 new passes, and told us to use the other ones if we wanted to ,, well we did not ,but the thought was great. We have stayed there twice now, and will continue going there. We are from Windsor , we have told our friends about this great hotel, they have gone and loved it. Can not wait to take our children there to enjoy the hotel themselves.. TGIF's is attached to Drury Inn, and the staff at TGIF's are terrific :)

Given it's position as the number one rated hotel in Troy we were disappointed. The rooms are relatively small and the layout of the room and the bathroom is awkward. The service was somewhat inattentive. The desk clerk forgot to key in our room keys so we made two trips to the desk to get in the room. Not a big deal but emblematic of the kind of service we experienced there during our stay. It has a convenient location but is, despite the recent renovation, a tired property. I am not a huge fan of Emabassy Suites but this is not as good as the Embassy Suites property or service in Troy. We left scratching our heads over this hotel's rating since we found it just average. The walls are relatively thin and you can hear the noise from adjacent rooms quite well.

Front desk often overwhelmed and understaffed but they try hard. Comp. breakfast, newspaper & evening snack. The latter has hearty but unhealthy high cal high fat fare. Comp. business ctr w. functional printer. Not often crowded. Small fitness room often over crowded for few facilities. In room fridge is tiny. Coffee maker is seldom cleaned. Housekeeping is immaculate with a squeaky clean room. Comfortable bedding. Cumbersome entry and exit due to one way streets, etc. Speedy and functional in room comp. WiFi/internet. Comp. popcorn, coffee & soft drinks in lobby. Comp. parking.

Room Tip: try for room near adjoining restaurant and park behind but not too close to side entrance otherwise...
