This is somewhere where anyone can go and eat and have a wonderful meal. The menu is fantastic and everything is always well cooked and fresh. They also do evenings of tapas, curries and even takeaway pizzas!

There are also events on throughout the year and weekly live musicians.

The staff are brilliant and attentive and the pub is run by an amazing couple, Amy and Matt!

Fantastic location also!

Booked the Swan for a family meal. Elderly mother, sister, nephew and American friend and me.We were noisy and cheeky but the waitress was funny, patient, and efficient. In fact everyone working there was lovely. We were probably not the easiest table (boisterous, not rude) but at no point did we feel unwelcome
The food was wonderful, but be warned the helpings are very big so either ask to downsize or get a doggy bag unless you have a big appetite.
Outside area weather permitting.
Walk round beautiful Lympstone too to help your meal digest.

Walking along the Exe Valley and stopped for lunch. Super menu choice. Had a light bite (taken from the starters menu) of Chicken Pate. It was served very quickly and was presented very nicely. The pate was smooth and really well seasoned. The toast and salad were just right. Glad I only went for a light bite as very satisfying and didn't need a sweet (what a shame, never mind will try one next time!).

Visited The Swan with friends and had the 3 course lunchtime meal for £9.95p. Fantastic!!! Chicken liver pate was lovely, the liver & bacon was second to none and the rubarb & ginger crumble was delicious. Don't know how they can do it for the price. In addition the staff were superb - we were really made to feel very welcome and appreciated. We have already been back with some other friends and will undoubtedly return in the future. If you haven't eaten there yet, try it!!!!!!!
