“A Little Gem in an idyllic location”
Reviewed 24 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We stayed for 2 nights in this cottage as a surprise for a friend who lived nearby. The cottage is superbly located in a beautiful village with every amenity you may ever need. The cottage is located directly opposite one of the many village pubs, has a shop just nearby and is a minute walk to the river. Well equipped and very modern, its a home from home. We slept very well in the bunk beds and double beds, the drench shower was great and we really felt very at home there. We walked into Exmouth along the cycle path, we ate at the Redwing pub, delicious food and fabulous service. Peter the owner of the cottage very kindly left a pint of milk for our arrival, there was teabags, coffee and sugar too, just enough to tide you over if you arrive later in the day. We didnt visit the other pubs in the village but we did enjoy a few bottles of prosecco on the little terraced area on the river, where we watched the sunset. A fabulous weekend, topped off by great weather. Cant wait to return.

Stayed with husband, mother and 17month old daughter and it accommodated us admirably.
Lovely bathroom and powerful shower. Comfy double bed, beautifully decorated. Felt very at home here. All amenities close by.

“Perfect location, perfect cottage.”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Booked the cottage for a couple of weeks, and liked it so much stayed a few more! Don't normally write reviews but this was an exception.

Pretty cottage, certainly big enough for 4, really delighted when I opened the door, lovely, contemporary warm feeling! Perfect location, in the heart of the village, 3 good pubs, excellent coffee shop across the road, for fresh coffee cakes, and a stones throw away from the beach.
Local train service, to Exeter and beyond, and plenty of room to park up. Pete and Jan were really welcoming, helped with anything, and went the extra mile.

Quiet, friendly, unique, and most of all - lovely sunsets!

This is the translation:
The cottage is small but well equipped. Very welcoming. It is ideally located in a former fishing village that is now a fantastic place for a holiday and for leisure. You'd want to take pictures of every corner. And it is well connected and a few minutes drive from Exmouth (beach and boardwalk) and Exeter (city shopping or leisure). The owner is very friendly and helpful.
