“Nice for late night”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

This is nice for late night since the kitchen is open until 2am. I had an appetizer and a beer. It is very dark however.

“One Hell of a Burger”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

The burger was amazing. I was skeptical that the beef I got (Piedmontese) was healthier than chicken breast, but after looking it up, I am in awe. Make sure you try it with their zip sauce. Their homemade "Sauce" that comes on the burgers is good, but they lay it on a bit heavy so next time I'll order it on the side. Drinks weren't cheap, but they definitely fill the glass up for you. Try the Scotch Egg...one of the best there is. I will definitely visit this place often.

“Best Burger in Metro Detroit”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

Been a number of times over the past several years. While the original restaurant in Royal Oak still has a more authentic Redcoat feel, this Redcoat serves the same food. Service has been pretty good most of the time, but the real reason to come here is for the burger. Clam chowder is very good as well.

While I haven't gone as often for drinks, Redcoat boasts a nice beer selection as well. Both food and drink are a little on the pricey side, but nothing too outrageous.

“Better when it was Zinc!”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

Now its just a burger place. The bar is great and Bisher and Aaron make it great. The Valet is a pain. It's the only restaurant where the Valet takes all of the spaces by the door, so if you don't or can't valet, you park on the opposite side of the building. I have left a few times because of that along with others. Tavern Salad is great. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side.

“Overpriced burgers”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

The burgers are good, but every topping is an additional charge. By the time you add a few, your burger can come to $10-15. Way to ouch for what it is!
