I was very disappointed with the room. For $150 a night, plus $16 in taxes, I expected a lot more. The room was very old, smelled musty, the blinds left a gap at the bottom which allowed you to see partially onto the bed, there was no TV remote, the toilet in the bathroom ran after you flushed and you constantly had to jiggle the handle to make it stop. Also there was a light outside the room that we could not turn off, and because of the gap in the blinds, light came into the room all night. All the furnishings were old and the bedspread was worn.
The sitting rooms overlooking the lake were nice and the restaurant is definitely worthwhile, especially the Great Lakes perch. Also the breakfast, which was included was very nice, lots of fresh fruit.
I would suggest staying somewhere else and just going to the restaurant. We ended up going to Duck Lake State Park beach and spending the day there, and that was awesome. The rooms were comparable to the Lakeland Hotel off U.S. 31, where you can stay for about $60 - $70.
