Chris runs a great place, from the thoughtful breakfasts (great eggs and fruit, super coffee) to the well-appointed room (go for #9 if you can, tho' ALL rooms looked comfortable and cozy) to the gorgeous backyard with view of the river. Chris is super knowledgeable about Ypsi and very willing to share anecdotes and tips. Easy to get on and off the highway and very convenient to A2 and other local sights. So glad we found Parish House-will be our go to on all future visits.

Room Tip: #9 has great view of the river--all rooms are quiet

I stayed here for about a week during a research trip to Ypsilanti. After having stayed in basic hotels in other cities during my trip, it was real pleasure to stay in a place with as much character as Parish House Inn! I stayed in Room 9 overlooking the Huron River and found it to be beautiful and calming. Breakfasts were the highlight of my day; Chris can sure cook! She was a welcoming host who took the time to talk to me and give me plenty of suggestions on what to do in Ypsi during my free time. I highly recommend staying here! It's also super close to the historic downtown district and within walking distance of Eastern Michigan University.

We stayed in room 9 which has a lovely view of the Huron River. The decor was lovely and made us feel like we were far away from home, even though we hadn't gone far at all! We stayed the night it hit -15 with 0 for a high the next day! We appreciated the 2 space heaters- one that looks like a fireplace, and the dual control electric blanket! Chris was able to creatively meet our special dietary needs in a scrumptious breakfast the next morning!

Room Tip: We liked room 9 b/c of the king size bed, dual control electric blanket, and spectacular view of the...

“We stayed five nights and each morning revealed something different for breakfast. Chris’ warmth and charming manner just added to the overall experience. She is full of valuable information and was able to help us navigate the issues relating to getting to and from the Winter Classic hockey games. We were so impressed with the various delicacies, we purchased her latest break recipe book. My wife can hardly wait to try them. The pumpkin pancakes are to die for. The cookie jar was a nice touch as well. We stayed in Room 9. Lovely view, windows on three sides and very homey. We had a great stay."

Room Tip: Room #9 on the top floor has windows on three sides and is very compfy

This place is everything we look for in a b&b. It's much more "homey" than a big hotel, but Chris also offers you as much privacy as you want and all the conveniences you need. And the breakfasts!!!! We keep coming back to The Parish House and look forward to the great cooking (including the homemade cookies that are always available). Chris also is willing to do the extra things to make the trip special. We arrived on Christmas Day and asked her to have some wine waiting for us. She picked out a great bottle. The Parish House is our home away from home in Ypsilanti. . . can't wait for the next visit.

Christine is a warm and friendly host, and her breakfasts are creative and delicious. She has run Parish House Inn for many years and is very knowledgeable about the Ann Arbor area. The Inn is located only a mile off I-94 and convenient to Ann Arbor.

The king size bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The owner was very welcoming and also helped us with some directions. The parking was very convenient - just outside the back door. Guests are given a key to an exterior door, so you can come and go as you please. We will definitely keep this in mind on future visits to the area.
