“Your standard nicer family resort - good for groups”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

We rented out 2 units since we had a fairly large group with children (12 adults). The units were like standard townhouses - one was newer and a bit nicer. Good sized bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Basements were good sized with TV, foosball etc. Decks overlooked the medium-sized lake. One of the units had a very nice hot tub, which initially did not work, but was quickly fixed. No fire pits. We rented kayaks and canoes for a nominal charge. Unfortunately, bikes were not available though their website says they are available. The staff were professional and courteous. Nice running/biking paths nearby.

“Super fun biking excersion”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2009

We went for an afternoon to rent bikes. They have many professional bikes to choose from and give you a helmet and instructions on use of bike gears and safe breaking and such. They sell water bottles for a dollar and your bike has a holder. We packed a picnic in a backpack and off we went. Some of the paved trail is just gorgeous nature and some you're riding alongside the highway. That was the worst part. No danger, as you're not that close, but after riding down hills and being in lush forest, to be riding flat with highway view stinks. But then you get to creeks below and lake views in the distance, and at one point you're At the lake (where we picnicked). We only went half way, as the full distance brings you to a cute town, but we'd already drove through there on way to resort.

“Loved The Quarry, The Legend was okay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2009

Played here two years ago and saw that there were no reviews for the course. The Quarry is simply the best course I've ever played- well, maybe not the best, but the best in Minnesota for sure. Better than Cragun's, Madden's, etc. Tons of elevation change, scenery is just spectacular. My only complaint there would be the greens. The greens are humongous, but they are all tiered and there isn't a flat spot on any of the greens. If you can two putt, you can score on this course. If it weren't so far away, I'd play there as much as I could. We played 36 that day and played The Legend afterwards. The Legend was a nice course- well-maintained with a few nice holes. #17 there is a long par 3 over a lake, very scenic, but you emerge victorious if you don't dump at least 1 of your groups tee shots into the lake. The footprint sand trap is nice and the course's signature- something different I guess. Either way, both courses were enjoyable, and I'd rank The Quarry #1 and The Legend #2, play em both if you can, but definitely hit up The Quarry, it is unforgettable.
