“An unexpected trip & again more than expected”

We have made two more trips to the South Coast from Scotland and made our way to The Goat House. The welcome was again fantastic and the attention received second to none. So nice to see the beautiful garden in all its glory at this time of year and enjoy the beautiful walks nearby. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay. Location, accommodation, and breakfast all excellent. We were able to leave the car and travel by foot and public transport. We particularly appreciated the friendliness and thoughtful attention of the hosts.

Our third stay at The Goat House. A stop off on our way to Weymouth after travelling through the night from the North East. A warm welcome as ever from hosts who let us in rooms early as aware of our early start. Very welcoming. Loved our en suite room. Very comfortable bed. Definitely the best guest house we stop in. Fantastic breakfast which set us up for the rest of our journey. We will look forward to returning year after year as it has become a very pleasant start to our holiday.

Very welcoming hosts who made me feel at home! I would certainly stay again if necessary and I loved the garden! The house is very nicely presented and a quiet location. The breakfast menu is excellent and you could really go to town if you wanted.! Steven kindly gave me a lift into Wimborne which was very helpful. Debbie Lindenberg

We stayed at the Goat House on Saturday night and nothing was too much trouble. We had a wondeful breakfast and host were so welcoming. If i need to stay in area again would return. thank you... from the York family.

Room Tip: both rooms are delightful and cosy.

Despite being discreetly tucked away at the bottom of a leafy lane, The Goat House is definitely not to be overlooked. This Bed & Breakfast is easily recognisable by its glass window panes, which feature none other than goats themselves!
The Goat House is an incredibly homely and comfortable little place, and the room in which my boyfriend and I stayed was simple in style yet adorned with delightful touches. The bedroom and en-suite were spacious and airy and the bed was insanely comfortable (I was in danger of never waking again; be warned).
We joined hosts Stephen and Francis for afternoon tea in the front room, which, like the rest of the building, was styled with tasteful classical furnishings. I almost squealed with delight at the sight of Cath Kitson crockery!
Not surprisingly, breakfast the following morning was laid out in the most impressive of fashions, with neatly-sliced fruits and cereals decorating the table, shortly followed by tea, coffee and a traditional cooked breakfast presented on (can you guess) Cath Kitson plates!

Stephen and Francis really do have a little gem on their hands with The Goat House. They are evidently proud of the place and strive to make each guest's stay a cosy and welcoming one, to what is quite apparently much success. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would wholeheartedly recommend.

A big thank you to Francis and Stephen for a delightful stay at The Goat House. We were only there for a night but wish it had been longer. Our hosts were friendly and charming without being intrusive or over-familiar and produced a superb breakfast on Sunday morning. Thank you also for the granola recipe, we are looking forward to making our own.
