“Great Thai In North Minneapolis”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

I had visited this restaurant for lunch, but finally made it for dinner. It proved to be just as good for dinner as it had been for lunch. The Fresh Spring Rolls were excellent. The Phad Thai was very good, as was the Panang Curry Chicken. The Beef Basil was good, especially the mushrooms, but it was a little too liquid.

The wine and beer selections are good, and the prices are reasonable. The service was efficient and not over bearing.

The somewhat remote location may hinder some people, but it is well worth the trip for an enjoyable meal. And oh yes, they also serve sushi. None of our party tried any, but it looked delicious.

“Thai It, You'll Like It :)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Went to this restaurant on a whim with my sister, our parents, and our loud children. She had been here before and liked it. We were in the area so decided to stop in.

I loved the decor. My sister said they had renovated it since she had last been there. It was lovely and clean.

The food was wonderful. We are Asian so my parents are very picky when it comes to trying new Asian restaurants. Score! This will be on their list of places to come back to.

“best thai in twin cities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

Lemon grass is not only the best Thai food in the northern suburbs, it is the best Thai food we've had in the Twin Cities. There's a large menu with more than just the usual Thai dishes - a wide variety that makes us want to go back and try something new. Lemon grass also offers sushi which we tried last night and it was very fresh and tasty. Service is friendly and helpful.

“Best That in Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

Lemongrass is perhaps the best That restaurant in the metro area Not only is the traditional Thai food executed almost perfectly they have inventive and tasty menu options that you won't find anywhere else (ie Wild Curry, Insane Chicken Salad, etc). Also their lunch deals are among the best around. Since they renovated and expanded, the attractive space is almost as good as the food (plus they have great sushi now). All in all this is the best restaurant in Brooklyn Park and it's not even close.

“Off the beaten path gem.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Many times I have been told by others how good Lemon Grass Thai in Brooklyn Park was but had not had the opportunity to visit until now. These people were not wrong at all! They are located far off of the beaten path and not easy to find but the food is

Besides the classic Thai dishes, they also have a sushi bar. This visit we opted for the traditional Thai dishes and not the sushi bar so I cannot tell you about the sushi quality. We started with the Edamame as an appetizer which was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of salt. For entrees we had the Black Out (Shitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots and onions sautéed in a spicy black bean sauce), Massaman Beef Curry (spicy massaman curry with coconut milk, chunks of succulent tender beef, peanuts and potatoes), and the Chiang Mai Alley Noodles (crispy egg noodles - topped with spicy chicken, yellow curry, pickled mustard greens, shallots, dried chilies and lime) All of the dishes were prepared well and the presentation was excellent as well as the spice level we all ordered. Enough spice to feel it but not overwhelm the dish.
The first pot of hot tea was not hot at all and when brought to the attention of the wait staff it was quickly remedied.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting and the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable during the entire meal.
Next time there are several other dishes that I want to try as many sound so good. Well worth the trip off of the beaten path for this hidden gem.

I would have considered five stars but the service seemed a little lacking like they were short staffed.
