We stayed at Shrigley Hall on December 28th for one night as a treat away from the kids, we were very happy with our room and all the hotels facilities. Dinner was beautiful followed by a relaxing couple of hours listening to the piano music in the bar.
Unfortunately that was where the relaxation ended, we retired for the night at 12am, but sleep proved to be impossible. The hotel was hosting a wedding, and unfortunately between the hours of 1am and 4.30am we were kept awake by inconsiderate guests running up and down the halls shouting, talking loudly and one couple arguing. I would suggest that guests not part of a wedding party are placed in a quieter part of the hotel so they can enjoy the relaxation.
Unfortunately this did ruin our stay as we were very tired after breakfast and decided to come home instead if taking advantage of the late check out that we had paid for.
