Want to live like a king in Chaska or live like a pauper in downtown Manhattan? It all boils down to real estate. Given that Oak Ridge hotel is in a rural midwestern village you will find spacious corridors, vast parking lots and king size conference halls. However, surprisingly the rooms are smaller than relative expectations. Though initially it appears that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere there are actually all basic amenities within 2-3 mile radius (e.g, gas stations, McDonalds, Qdoba, Super Target with Pizza Hut within, Ruby Tuesday's, Kohl's, Caribou coffee and Subway inside two twelve medical center)

Pros: spacious scenic hotel surroundings, free caribou coffee every morning at front desk, nice service - nicer people, racquet ball, volley ball indoor courts, newly built look

Cons: poor wifi download/browsing speeds probably due to many users sharing the bandwidth, no fridge in rooms, no microwave for guests (you gotta use employees'), can hear outside noises if you turn the AC fan off.

I was here at a large business event. The accomodations were nice, albeit a little run down. About 30 minutes from the airport, it was nonetheless very tranquil with a beautiful lake and woods. Facilities were pleasant and included volleyball courts, fire pits, baseball diamond, racketball and indoor basketball court We had a bonfire and outdoor dinner planned, but in mid October, it was simply too cold. The food was surprisingly good. And the staff went out of their way to help. Incredibly pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a lakeside room, the higher the better.

We found this place when we made plans to go to MN Renaissance fair. It was close.had a nice feel to it..u could go for a hike in the woods...have a nice brunch. and the rooms were lovely...
The only thing I would suggest is update their TV to a flat screen..

This is a lovely quiet and classy place set away from it all in a resort type park! All rooms have a great view and I loved sitting at the window seat. They have a great package deal for the Renaissance Festival nearby that is a great deal. Beds are very comfortable!! Very clean rooms and all non-smoking. The cleaning staff are quick and effieienct and had our room cleaned while we ate a fabulous breakfast as part of the package deal. Will be back again next year!!

Room Tip: Book early as they fill up and weekends are most accessible.
