Just had coffee and a toasted sandwich, husband had tea and a toasted tea cake. (We are very predictable here)! Haven't been here since December, and wow what a transformation. Have been visiting this lovely tearoom for at least the last eight years and although we loved it's quaintness we always thought it was very overdone with gifts/cards/etc on shelving and units that took the tearoom over. Well, now it's bright light, uncluttered and looks amazing. Well done to the new owners. As always the regular staff we have come to know were courteous, happy and made us welcome. Couldn't find one negative thing about it. Loved it. So if you are going to the Milford/Godalming area, go along for a lovely cup of tea? (or coffer if you prefer) you won't be disappointed.

Returned to Eliza's after its refit. Food and service are still excellent with the place no longer cluttered. Good value for money.

Secretts has long been a favourite place to visit rounded off by a delicious lunch at Eliza's Tea Room. Unfortunately this has recently changed hands. It seems a great shame that the new owners seem to have taken away all the little touches that made this place rather special. They no longer serve tea with the delightful quirk of loose leaf tea and tea strainers. Also their staff seem much more off hand and disinterested and they no longer give the tiny square of prettily wrapped chocolate with your bill. Only small things but the loss of them brings this tea shop back to an average tea shop you could find anywhere on the high street. Okay but no longer special.

Another visit to Eliza's tea room in Milford on Sunday 8th Dec 2013. I had a cream scone with Darjeeling tea and chocolate macaroon all of which was very tasty. The tea room has gifts and cards around the walls next to the tables and background music playing (although the music would please a more elderly client). They serve light lunches and afternoon teas with great cakes and scones etc. It would be good if they could show a menu for this tea room on their website.
