Looking for a place to eat in downtown Duluth we came across Dubh Linn. This is a large Irish (what else would you expect for the name?) themed pub. The service was friendly. We had a 6 year old with us and it was comfortable for her...not too loud, friendly patrons and staff.
Got some of the standards. Fish and chips and shepherds pie were very good. The real surprise was the Scotch list. There were many varieties we had only heard of, never seen, in the US. Sure there was Laphroig and Bowmore of several vintages, but there was also Edradour, Tomatin and Knoppogue Castle. Maybe 100 different kinds of Scotch, grouped by price between $8 and $140. So, though this can always be a little expensive, we had some fun trying a few drams of whisky we might not normally be able to find bottles of easily. Fun night.
