“Fun Day in March”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Our family of four -- two adults who skied, and two teenagers who snowboarded -- had a great day at Spirit Mountain, and we hope to return next year. The slopes were much longer than we expected, the views spectacular, and the two terrain parks were fun for the teens. There aren't many signs compared to most ski hills. The chalet at "the top" is actually half way up the mountain, so when you come out from the rental area it's a bit confusing to figure out where to go as people ski and board past. So be sure to look at a map of the entire ski complex before you buy tickets and go down the stairs to the rental area. Also, the signs in the chalet aren't completely clear, so be sure you know that you should stand in line for a lift ticket before going downstairs to the rental area. The tavern at the top of the chalet has food that is pretty good and cheap, and the best part is that it has free pitchers of ice water so that you can rehydrate when you stop for food. The lifts are quick and smooth, and the lines were short when we visited on March 28.

A wonderful family friendly resort. We had 8 people of all ages everyone was happy there. Great tree skiing and terrain park for challenges and don't miss the alpine coaster.

“Good value for beginners, bring your own lunch!”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

Small ski mountain with a good value for beginners with rentals. We all took ski lessons (2 kids, 2 adults) with rentals and it was really affordable with friendly staff. A bit disorganized in the morning with staff coming in late, computers starting up slow, people not telling you exactly where to be. But once we got going, it was a good experience. There are lockers you can pay for and lots of table space. The food is very bland and generic. A little pricey too for what you get. We would've brought our own if we had known. Overall, a good experience particularly with little kids!

“The kids loved it”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

We gave the kids some spending money while they were there and were pleased to see how much we got back. They liked the food and we were all pleased with the prices and pleasantly suprised. The people here are all very friendly. Certainly a place we would consider returning to.

“Fun skiing, skip the Riverside Bar and Grill at the bottom of hill”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

Great snow this year and weekdays are not too busy for those of us who like a little space on the hill. Their new lift is really nice. Skip the restaurant at the bottom of the hill in their new chalet. Very slow, several things on the menu no longer available and not very clean, at least the day we were there which was a Tuesday. Had lunch at 1:30, so after the rush was over. They seemed shorthanded even though I saw three people working and less than half the tables filled. They had advertised this as being a signature restaurant but it's far from that. Standard ski hill food at the top chalet is better.
