Our family of four, including two teenagers, enjoyed a good meal here. Does not feel like a bar at all but a good restaurant that happens to craft great beer. Check out the t-shirt shop while you wait for a table - these folks have a fun sense of humor. Wish I liked beer, because they sounded delicious! My husband very much enjoyed his Stoned Surf IPA. I had a nice glass of red wine from their short but thoughtful (all exclusively family-owned vineyards) wine selection. They have a great focus on sustainability and local food sourcing and support.
Burgers were excellent (Northcoaster and The Gus are both to be recommended). Fish tacos were a little disappointing: fine, but not memorable in any way. They have gluten free buns available, and can substitute grilled portabella mushrooms or chicken breast for any burger. Also have some other nice selections available on the menu.
This place must be amazing during warmer weather with their patio location on the Duluth lakefront. Fun relaxed environment, beautiful space, with a mix of families, singles, older couples all there when we visited on a weeknight in early April. We would definitely return.
One note: the lighting (which was dimmed slightly just after we arrived at 8PM and it was dark outside) was such that the menus were kind of hard to read.
