Description: Classic Italian dinning and Wine Spectator award winner since 1999 Bellisio’s restaurant conjures up images of highly skilled chefs, fine wines, superb service, and fresh Italian food. And while all this is most certainly true, one must not forget that Bellisio’s is above all an experience. An exceptional dining experience, to be precise, but one that takes place in a casual atmosphere reminiscent of the quaint eateries and wine bars of the Italian countryside. And no wonder. The experience is fashioned after the small village of Bellisio, Italy, home to the owner’s ancestry. Imported direct from Italy are the beauty, comfort, romance, and glorious recipes. Specialty dishes include perfectly prepared pasta dishes using the finest imported and local ingredients; fennel roasted rack of pork; homemade risotto dishes; grilled steaks; shrimp; seafood; and a fresh catch feature every day. All served with a world class wine menu to match. Bellisio’s has received Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” every year since we opened in 1999. It’s a simple, colorful, elegant, and exceptional dining experience.

“Terrific restaurant in the Canal area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014

We visit Duluth every year and always stay in the Canal area as it is a good location for hotels and restaurants. We've found that our consistant favorite is Bellisio's Italian Restaurant. The food is always well prepared and made with fresh ingredients. The wait staff is always pleasant and attentive and the wine selection is one of the best in Minnesota (ok so that might not be that big of a deal). We enjoy trying the different wine flights they offer and have never been disappointed with the wines or the food here. Recommended!

“Appetizers unusual & usual”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014

If you're hungry as a northern bear, or a smidge hungry for a treat and a fine glass of wine, try Bellisio's in Canal Park, Duluth MN. After a long travel day, we decided to just order a couple of appetizers and peruse the extensive wine menu. We asked the server for recommendations, and she did not disappoint! The "fried green tomatoes" amazed us. Served with a topping of goat cheese and a lovely fresh salad and foccacia with a garlic spread, this was a meal in itself. So were the calamari, also accompanied by a dressed salad. We've also enjoyed, in the past, full meals of walleye (the best) and the fennel roasted pork (enough for a family of four - the perfect meal if you're starving). As always, the service and atmosphere are top of the line.

“Wishing there was a Bellisio's in the Twin Cities!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

My wife and I visited Bellisio's with no expectations while on vacation. We left extremely impressed!!! The meals had outstanding flavor and generous portions (we enjoyed the sausage risotto and balsamic penne). The wine list is volumous, but the waitress recommended a pinot noir that that was perfect on its own and with the meal. A very enjoyable evening!!!

If Bellisio's ever opens in the Twin Cities, we will definitely be regulars!

“Great Food, Excellent Service & a VERY Impressive Wine List”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

Bellisio's offers a warm intimate atmosphere, with excellent food that tastes fresh, no reheated prefab stuff here! In addition to this, they have one of the most extensive wine lists I've seen, rounded out with polite, attentive, but not pushy service.

A must try!

“I don't get it”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014 via mobile

This was my second visit to Belisio's and I was disappointed ... Again. First off ... I walk in the restaurant and I smell ........ Nothing.... There should be some fragrance of tomato ... Garlic .... Basil ... But there is nothing. I wanted pasta with tomatoe sauce but the only thing they had was linguine with bolognese. I had the chicken Marsala and it had NO taste. Honestly .. I've had better at Olive Garden. DISAPPOINTED. . I will NOT go back.
