Not the best weekend getaway with my wife and dogs. Pick'ins are slim for pet friendly hotels around here so we took a chance based on reviews. It was only OK, partially due to being below par for the IHG brand and partially due to circumstance. What's good: location, breakfast selections and quality; clean room; pet friendly; nearby dining; front desk staff. What's disappointing: 2 room suite smaller than expected compared to other locations I've stayed; HVAC very loud; pillows are mush; decor/furniture showing its age; running out of breakfast items (see below issue). The big surprise was on arrival being greeted by hundreds of ill-behaved screaming little munchkins escorted by bad parents, all of them mistreating the furniture, decor and even the hotel staff adding to our poor experience. I did notice a strange musty odor about the hallways that was partially masked by the strong smell of chlorine from all the little munchkins dragging water from the pool onto the walls, floors and elevator. Speaking of elevator, there's only one and it's slow, even slower when the munchkins use it for a playhouse. We had to fight our way thru the rude munchkins to get a little breakfast with their parents nearby having a blind eye to the carnage. There was a shining exception for a 13 year old young man who helped with getting my food trays back to my room. Finally there's the bad mannered pet owners who refuse to clean up after their pets have exercised on the grounds. This hotel needs to look at being more proactive with its ill-mannered guests in the interests of its better mannered guests.
