“Great Value!”
Reviewed 19 April 2013

I stayed there for one night (Saturday 26th, 2013). I'd like to start by how easily accessible this hotel is off 35W. Although not right off the highway, it's very close. It's about a 3 minute drive from "downtown" Faribault and within a couple minutes of just about anywhere. Okay, enough about location. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the lobby was nice and clean. The place seemed to have been near full that night, but I heard nothing. Very quiet indeed. The room was clean and comfortable with all the expected amenities and everything was in perfect working order. The bed was very comfortable as well as well as the rest of the furnishings. The kitchen came in handy. The next day, I checked out late (1:00 p.m ) without any problems. Great place to stay and I'll stay there again soon. Good things.

Room Tip: Corner Suite is nice and roomy

While en route from Southern MN to Central MN during one of the last snowmageddons of the year I was forced to take shelter in Faribault due to poor road conditions. I checked Trip Advisor for recommendations and chose this hotel as it's the #1 rated hotel in the area. And for good reason.

The front desk staff member on duty was friendly and professional. The hotel lobby and my room on the third floor facing the storage facility next door was clean and well decorated for this level of establishment. The hotel appeared to be mostly unoccupied except for a few others in my predicament, which may have accounted for the quiet, relaxing evening watching TV in the 'living room' and uninterrupted sleep in the bedroom of the suite.

The hotel offers a vending machine with many fast options, even pizzas, as each room has an oven and fridge for the leftovers.

Room Tip: All rooms face either a storage facility next door or the road out front. It's far enough from t...

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel in Faribault, Mn. I am so glad you were able to be "stranded in comfort". We were a full house the night that you stayed with us, so I am happy to hear that is was so quiet. The week nights are generally a quite customer base, typically corporate travelers here on business. Now, weekends can be a bit more busy feeling due to the teams, wedding groups, etc, but we pride ourselves in offering clean, comfortable, more upscale accommodations. We look forward to having you stay with us in the future if ever back in Faribault.

This review is for all the families who travel here for hockey. The rooms are great, clean large well maintained. They also have a party room if you want to have a team dinner. However staff is crabby! Don't even think about gathering in an adults room for a beer past 10:30.. We were a mild group, we don't have any out of hand parents and they still walk the halls shutting everything down at 10:30. But worse is the 11am check out.. They mean it, they change the lock codes so you can't get back into your room unless you pay a $45 fee for a few extra hours. They offered no late check out of even an hour without payment. So if you make it to a championship game you are kicked out at 11 or be prepared to pay the fee. If you are visiting the area and not traveling with your youth team.. Great place to stay, hot breakfast, too.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property in Faribault, Mn. I am happy that you found our suites clean and well maintained. I just wanted to clarify in a few areas that were misunderstood. We certainly welcome late check outs past 11 am if possible. We have a ceiling of how many we can allow for to have the rooms ready for the new guests checking in at 3pm. Once we have met that ceiling, we can still allow a late check out for a fee. We will then call additional housekeeping staff in for the evening to clean and turn over for our guests that check in later that same evening. I offer my sincere apologies that we were not able to accommodate your group with a later check out. We do try our best to do so. As for the locks being changed, we do not change our locks. However, at check in. when the keys are made for the number of nights that you are staying, they do expire the day of check out at the correct check out time. If a late check out is granted, we can extend the keys. For safety and inventory reasons, the keys will only be valid from the activation at check in, until the check out time, or physical check out if it is prior to 11am. We in no way change the locks to 'lock our guests out", it is simply how the system is set up. Again, thank you for reviewing our property. I do hope that you will choose to stay with us again if in the area, we are the only all suite hotel in Faribault and pride ourselves in our clean, upscale establishment.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting our son at at college. I agree with the other reviewers as far as the staff is concerned. Very helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions to area attractions.
The breakfast was great as it included many options such as eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, toast, fruit and juices. Something there for everyone.
I couldn't agree more about the noise. If you are a light sleeper just be aware that the walls are thin and you can hear pretty much every step of the guests above you.
The rates are also very reasonable.

My daughter and stay here over the weekend. This is a newer hotel in the area. Check -in was nice and smooth. The manager at the front desk was very nice- Maurice I believe his name was. I asked for a quiet room on the top floor, as the other reviews said it was a very noisey hotel... They were correct-- it is really noisey. We finally just turned the fan on to block out chatter, doors slamming etc. The pool are is very nice-- hot tub should be a little warmer-- especially when it is 8 below zero outside and the wind was howling.. We did use the laundry area to do some laundry and it was very clean and worked well. They have 3 large vending machines with plenty of snacks etc to choose from. Breakfast is served each morning. We did not eat it -- but it smelled yummy.
The beds are soooo comfortable and cozy. Little kitchen area as well in the rooms, so if you want to cook you can. Bathroom was very clean, showers are super narrow and water pressure could be a bit better. But overall, a very good place to stay, very clean and really nice staff. We will return for sure!

Room Tip: ask for a room on the 3rd floor due to noisey hotel.

This is a wonderful place to stay: quiet, clean, good value, pleasant workers. However when we stayed in December both the pool and the hot tub were cold! I understood from the clerk that something had gotten stuck in the filter so it had to be drained and was in the process of heating up again. Unfortunately this is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. There was NO offer of any compensation of any kind. I realize it was not the fault of the clerk, but it is listed as one of the amenities and it was definitely out of order.

For the class of hotel, this cannot be beat. Spacious rooms; friendly, helpful, courteous staff, close to the highway and not far from the quaint downtown of Faribault. Excellent place to stay if your travels take you to, near or past Faribault.
