We came to Victoria to attend the engagement party of very dear friends, and had to tear ourselves away from Starhaven to attend the party. It's like living in the most amazing house and having 2 very dear gentlemen tend to your every need. The facilities were outstanding and unlimited. So very different from most places where the list of rules is endless, nothing is too much trouble at Starhaven. My only problem is finding a time to go back.

We were looking for an upmarket quite place to stay, after a couple of horrendous weeks before.
We found Starhaven on a google search for Queenscliff accommodation. I recognised the property being a watcher of Building Houses Australia. The opportunity was too good to pass up.
The booking didn’t disappoint. Ian and Rob where fantastic hosts, nothing too much trouble. The building didn’t leave you wanting in any way. I am not sure what were the best feature, indoor spa, theatre room or sea views. The main thing we left relaxed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Starhaven on a 3 day break from Tasmania. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Ian and Rob. The first class facilities such as spa, billiard table and the outstanding home theatre all contributed to a relaxing visit. Leisurely breakfasts sitting on the deck overlooking the bay to Melbourne was a peaceful way to start the day. We also enjoyed fine dining at Jack Rabbit vineyard only 15 mins away. If anyone is considering going you wont be disappointed. Thank you Rob & Ian for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It was like staying with friends.

We are delighted you felt like you were visiting friends during your stay. It is the best compliment you could give us. It is a joy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us here on The Bellarine Peninsula. It is a little secret nook of Victoria. We will be sure to visit you when we come down to Tasmania next time. We stayed at the Starhaven Retreat with friends for a wedding and were very impressed. From the warm welcome the moment you walk in the door to the grand tour of the amazing house, our hosts really went above and beyond.
The house has everything you could ever need for a relaxing time and a beautiful beach just over the road.
As a bed and breakfast you couldn't ask for more, Ian and Rob have created an experience to be proud of!

I was blown away by the beautiful environment and also the care taken by the hosts. My partner and I had an absolutely marvellous time at the house and will definitely be back for more.

A few notable features:
- stunning views
- tasteful decoration and artwork
- delicious breakfasts
- amazing facilities
- wonderful, friendly service
- a peaceful & relaxing getaway location

I won't forget the first morning I woke up in the gorgeous king size four poster bed with the sunlight streaming in through the windows.

I was absolutely delighted with this stay.

Starhaven Retreat sparkles as an example of outstanding boutique deluxe accommodation in regional Victoria.
From the welcome right through to the farewell, hosts ian and Rob, make you feel right at home in their fabulous grand design home. Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula Tourism Association ought be very proud that this level of accommodation is in their region.
My partner and I look forward to returning along with our friends.

Thank you for your kind words. It is amazing that Tourism Victoria has listed Starhaven Retreat as 1 of 10 unique B&B's in Victoria. But you knew that before they even wrote about it. They must have read your review. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again

My boyfriend and I stayed at Starhaven over two nights on the return from a relaxing week down on the Great Ocean Road. We wanted somewhere close to Geelong, minus the busyness of the city. Starhaven is located in a sleepy little town right on the point of the Bellarine Peninsular, a great position to relax and forget about the rest of the world. As the sun sets over the hills behind the retreat, the glimmering lights of Melbourne begin to rise on the horizon. The idyllic location is met with only but the best service from Ian and Rob. The immaculately designed house is free to explore from the airy atmosphere of the top floor with views for miles, to the super sexy gold-class cinema complete with a twinkling starry night ceiling and cocktail bar, or the massive swim-spa for a movie (or like us, Australian Open) and glass of wine. For a little privacy, the guest bedrooms are completely fitted with walk-in robes, ensuites with L'Occitane toiletries provided, high-tech flat screen televisions, surround-sound speakers to hook up your music to and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was provided both mornings, with a huge variety of options. My tip – if you’re offered a hot breakfast – TAKE IT! Ian’s mushrooms are amazing!
Thanks for a wonderful escape - We will definitely be back! Billie and Michael! x
