Eastview Caravan Park
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Me, my husband & 2 children have been camping for 4 years in a row now. This year was the best holiday for all 4 of us out of all the times we have camped. It was nice to get away from family & routines & just the 4 of us spend time together. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Staff are very helpful & friendly at all times. Site is excellently well maintained. Toilet/shower blocks regularly cleaned . Playing field good for children of all ages. Close to all local amenities. Only a short walk to beach. Made good friends with a family whilst there & kept in touch since. Will definitely be booking again next year. Thankyou for a brill holiday.

This was our first touring long weekend. Not far from our home town. So aware of the area.Very friendly staff, from being greeted by the receptionist to the cleaner. Newly built toilet/shower blocks, which were spotless. Cleaned regularly. Short walk to the shops and beach,(go to the rear of the site and you can cross a small bridge which takes you onto Palm beach Site to the rear of the Tropicana Club. There are no shops on the site, which to be truthful if you are caravaning or touring be prepared. The staff tolerate no aggrevation whatsoever. Will be booking again with no heitation.

You arrive to a modern reception, friendly welcome to this site near Ingoldmels ( which is another story altogether and for me not a good one!) and drive along a well maintained Tarmac rd past pitches which hint at France with hedges dividing each pitch. We had booked late and were on the camping field at the rear of the site, our pitch was generously sized and located near the newly built wash block. You need a PIN number to enter, to keep outsiders out I guess, it was clean and modern and plenty of hot water. The family showers are superb, there was a male cleaner whilst we stayed who chatted to ladies getting ready whilst he cleaned! ( off putting for me). The dish washing facilities are attached outside. To the rear of camping field there is a large field to run dogs in, play ball etc..
The site is 10 min walk to the beach through a very English small seaside resort, amusements and bars, cheap supermarkets then accross promenade to the fabulously wide sandy beach which stretches along the coast for miles.
Now this all sounds idealic, it was not! The type of clientale the area attracts meant we were often surrounded by loud and often foul mouthed people who treated their children as miniature adults. I am no snob but just did not feel comfortable as these families smoke and drank all day long.
The site seemed to be trying to attract a more upmarket customer and it was like entering a little haven of calm when we returned each day. At this point for the site itself I may be scoring a 4 but then we had the night from hell. Two chavvy couples pitched right behind us and the drank all night, argued loudly and then 1am revved their car lighting up our tent and scaring us all to bits. Then began the trips on and off site to get more booze, all night long, bragging about cops chasing them! To be fair the site management did chuck them off next morning but too late for us to feel refreshed and happy. So this really wanted a score of at most 1, however if you are fortunate enough to have a calm stay you may enjoy this site. It is well mainted, clean and with friendly staff. The area though is something else!

Stayed here for 4 nights in August and the reviews were spot on. Had a lovely pitch on edge of field with empty field behind for games or dog walking.
An easy wander into the village with plenty of places to eat and drink then a five minute walk onto the beautiful sandy beach.
Very friendly welcome and will definitely return next year.
