Just had a couple of nights at Yellingham Farm
Little bit off the beaten track
The hosts are very warm and friendly and we soon felt at ease
It's the sort of place where you don't feel the need to shut the bedroom door it's just like being at home
Breakfast has lots of choice and is well cooked and presented

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my sister and her partner and bestman with his partner. As there are only 3 rooms it seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves, apart from the lovely animals, one particular little dog, she was so adorable my sister wanted to adopt her. The facilities were fantastic and we were given a warm greeting by Janet and shown to our rooms. We were offered home made cream tea when we arrived which was lovely. We spent the afternoon exploring and down at the pond. The rooms had everything you wanted and even on the hottest days they were still cool. Even the refreshment tray had home made biscuits on. Janet provided fresh milk in the morning No UHT here! The breakfast was a feast with so many fruit or yoghurt choices to start with followed by a selection of cooked breakfast in any combination you wanted. Thank you Janet for a great stay, just what I needed.

I was so lucky to find Yellingham farm on Devon Farms list! It was the best place for a tired with hectic life person and a runaway from technology. Janet and Edward are amazing couple running the farm - the place is very peaceful and lonely; you are awaken in the morning by the sounds of the farm - chicken, lambs and sheeps; wonderful big fields where you can see a phaesant or a rabbit; and very beautiful sunset spot at the pond. Breakfast is outstanding - cooked from the eggs from the farm which Janet just took from the chicken. A place to return for sure - and I met a couple there for whom it was a six stay in Yellingham farm.

Room Tip: a double room has a beautiful view in the morning

We arrived to a wonderful welcome from Janet and shown to our room. A lovely comfortable room with everything we needed. The scones and cream were an added bonus! After a great nights sleep, breakfast was truly amazing! Just perfect!!

I've been a regular visitor to Yellingham Farm since 2001 and I've just enjoyed another lovely stay on the farm. There's always a warm welcome with a smile from Janet, followed by a nice hot drink and cake ( this weekend it was a piece of Janet's delicious homemade Christmas cake!) The breakfasts are the best in Devon, with Yellingham specialities such as 'Thunder & Liightning' (porridge with clotted cream and syrup - a must!). The rooms are clean and comfortable, with lots of up-to-date magazines, such as Devon Life and Country Living, and there's usually a roaring log fire going in the lounge
There's never a dull moment on the farm and Janet's lovely dogs just add to the enjoyment.

Greeted on arrival with a most welcome cuppa and a generous slice of victoria sponge. Guests have their own dining room and comfortable lounge. Bedroom comfortable, immaculately fresh and clean with spotless en suite. Fresh milk to go with the teamaking facilities. Breakfast a true tour-de-force from Ed with home made apple juice, thunder and lightning porridge and a slap-up fry-up. If Carlsberg made B&B's.....

It was around a year ago that we stayed at Yellingham Farm, a wonderful experience for both food (plentiful) and the accommodation, the photos on the website only show a small part of this place and its friendly atmosphere.
