We had four really relaxing days at the Cider Loft (self catering part of Dolish Farmhouse at the end of July. Don't let the winding narrow lanes put you off, this place is worth finding. Jonathan and Jane made us very welcome, the bread, milk, and farm produced eggs in the fridge were a lovely surprise, not to mention the bubbly! Very well equipped kitchen, only thing lacking was a washing machine, but we didn't need one.
Bed very comfortable with a small shower room in the corner of the bedroom, and both bedroom and kitchen had windows both sides with great views. You are encouraged to visit the chickens and the orchard.
Don't miss the local Luppitt Arms for an unforgettable evening - run by a 91 year old Mary, who asks you to stoop and pick up your own beer bottle and leave the money on the counter. The local residents will entertain you with local history and gossip. Prepare to go back in time!
