We stayed with Joanthan and Jane at Dolish Farmhouse while we visited friends nearby. We couldn't have wished for for a better experience. We were made very welcome, the accomodation was first rate and the breakfasts were superb.
Jonathan and Jane added greatly to out visit by their willingness to describe the renovation of this most interesting property and their plans for further projects. It was very reassurring to see such care taken with the sensitive restoration of a classic house and farm buildings.
We followed up Jonathan's recommendation to dine at The Railway in Honiton, a delightful meal and well worth the journey. Booking for a Saturday night meal was sensible.
Jonathan also gave us very good directions for our visit to Cothay Manor, in fact nothing was too much trouble and our hosts could not have been more helpful.
The local countryside is spectacular and we were lucky to be there when the bluebells were superb. Great walking and views but the lanes are very small and twisting so progress has to be cautious as one never knows what is around the corner, walkers, horseriders and of course tractors which take up the whole road!
A great place to stay to experience rural Devon at its best.More
