While island hopping my daughter and I completely enjoyed our stay at the Imperial, one of several properties included within the Myconian group and the one closest to the beach and sea (a short walk down the steep driveway). The front desk staff is attentive, professional and helpful perfectly reflecting the upscale ambiance of the property. The chic decor has been carefully selected throughout, with candles lit in all of the common areas each evening. Extra unique touches were everywhere and the service was impeccable, including a continental breakfast waiting for us the morning we flew out at 6:00 a.m. The few times we needed it we were able to reasonably match our schedule to that of the transfers to the town, though travelers staying for more than a couple of nights might find it more difficult. The decor in our room was a bit dated, though it wonderfully clean and spacious. We heard the property is supposed to be renovated during the coming winter season. If this is the case it will be one of the top places to stay in the area.

My fiance and I stayed at the Mykonian Imperial. We couldn't believe how inviting and welcoming everyone was the moment we walked into the hotel. Every staff member made sure to connect with us with a smile. We decided to elope and get married at the hotel spontaneously, and reception connected us to the General Manager,Ioannis Stefanidis. We never met a more accommodating manager in our lives. He made our entire wedding happen in less than 24 hours. He arranged the site which had an amazing view of the Mykonos horizon, florist, photographer, and read our vows to us during sunset. It was a perfect wedding in our minds.
The food at the hotel was incredible. The view was unforgettable. We loved having lunch by the pool everyday. They even provided shuttle service back and forth to town every hour on the hour after 6pm which helped save us a lot of money on cabs (Half hour each way).
Overall, we had an amazing experience at the Mykonian Imperial and strongly recommend this hotel to all visitors.

Room Tip: Ask to overlook the pool.

This was a good hotel for our two night stay with our 13 and 16 year old sons, but next time we would stay closer to the town, in Ornos or nearby. The hotel is 25 minutes away and advertises regular transfers to the town but in reality there are very few transfers - one at 9am, one at 2pm, one at 4pm, and several starting and returning late night around 10pm. So, if you miss the 9am you're stuck waiting for one of the few taxis on the island which can take over an hour to get to this remote location. Hotel staff would be wise to schedule hourly departures. The hotel is a beautiful resort, with a truly excellent spa, and good quality food in all restaurants. Beach is small, rocky, and windy, with few services. Few off site restaurant options, and some bugs in the rooms. Beds were single layer box springs, so not too comfortable.

Dear Torenthal,

Thank you for taking the time to post this review on line. Kindly rest assured that your kind comments on the resort's design, spa services and quality of our restaurants are deeply appreciated.

I read your remarks on the shuttle bus service, the quality of our beach and the bedding in your room with great concern and disappointment.

Please accept my sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations on those aspects of your stay.

Our resort is located just above the pristine, sandy beach of Elia, the largest blue flagged beach on the Island. Being just 8km away from Mykonos Town, we are considered an ideal location for romantic escapes.

Our daily shuttle bus service that operates at regular intervals is a complimentary service for those that wish to explore Mykonos Town.
The timetables are designed based on the demands and preferences of our guests. As the vast majority, spend their day by the beach or at the pool and wishes to visit town in the evening hours, we have organize in such way that service.
Of course there are more options available to visit town from the most cost effective (local bus) to the most exclusive (private limo service).

We always welcome and encourage guest feedback as we strongly believe that is the most valuable source of information.

All the highlighted points have been recorded and passed across the management team. I hope that you will allow us another opportunity in the near future to welcome you back and provide a complete holiday experience similar to those that have been described by so many other reviewers.

Kind Regards,
Markos Daktylides
General Manager

Long story short, we checked in and checked out early the following morning. Don't get me wrong- it's a decent hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's right next to a beach and they have a big pool with a pretty view... But if we're talking value, this hotel was NOT in ANY WAY worth the price. They justify the price because they earned the title as a "Leading Hotel of the World"... I can't name one thing about this place that would have landed them that affiliation. Aside from the resort being all-around meh, the beds were rock hard... They are COMPLETELY isolated from anywhere on the island that you actually want to be... Their breakfast was decent, at best... The hotel Itself is in need of a renovation... They had zero room upgrades available for us until we let them know we wanted to check out. Then magically the rooms appeared. They DID have a gym, although it was disappointing. They had a very limited amount of equipment, and some of it was broken. I sound like a negative nancy, I know. Again I will say that it was a nice place. If it was half the price, we possibly would have stayed... But for how much they charge per night, it wasn't worth it. "Average" rating for an average place.

Our visit to mykonos was greatly enhanced because of the quality of our hotel and the service that we received. The staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is huge and has everything you could want from a morning meal, with plenty of staff you are constantly topped up with drinks and will bring you food at your request should you require it. We had 2 evening meals from both the a la carte and sushi restaurant which were very good. The stand out from the sushi restaurant was our waiter Julian who was knowledgeable, funny and very awake of our needs. The location of the hotel for us was perfect as it is in a quiet part of the island with a beautiful view and beach only 2 minutes away. When we wanted to visit the town the bus took a maximum of 25 minutes which we didn't mind at all, eating there also made us appreciate the quality of service we received in our hotel. The only downfalls were the king size beds were 2 singles pushed together which made for an awkward sleep as a couple and were not tied together. The other being that the times of the shuttle bus into town were sparse before the evening and weren't out late enough on return. However despite that the hotel experience was an amazing one, and were we to return to Greece it would definitely be to this hotel.

Gorgeous hotel with large, well-decorated rooms, spacious marble baths and stunning views from the balconies. Service was fantastic and the breakfast buffet was huge. Treated myself to a wonderful massage during my stay. Absolutely my first choice if I travel to Mykonos again.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a view of the water!

What a fantastic place! 5 Stars (or blobs?) are not enough for this idyllic hideaway.I would give it 6 if I could. Great food, great rooms, great location and above all - great staff....everywhere!

We had one of the 1st floor rooms with a Jacuzzi and a wonderful view over the bay. Spacious and clean, the room was one of a range of options which made us spoiled for choice. However, WHEN we go back we WILL want the same room!! The hotel and its location rates as one of the best I have stayed it. It is certainly my best holiday hotel in Europe.

There are so many positives about this wonderful hotel I couldn't possibly list them all, All the staff impressed me, but I must mention one staff member in particular. Flora looked after our room beautifully - thank you, Flora, for helping make it such a fabulous week...

..and thank you the Myconian Imperial. ..we WILL be back!

Room Tip: Loved the Jacuzzi room so much, we didn`t have time to look at the others....
