“A gem”
Reviewed 13 July 2010

This is the second time we spent few days at the Imperial Myconian Hotel at Elia beach. Everything was again so lovely and perfect that makes your stay there unforgettable to the extend you feel sad when its time to go back home.

We were upgrated to a room with a private jacuzzi veranda overlooking the stunning Elia beach. The room was worth every cent of our money!

Bathroom was super stocked with toiletteries and the breakfast was devine!

The only complaint againt the hotel for this stay would probably be that we found the welcoming pretty average compared to the standards of a lux hotel.
The front office staff were busy taking calls while they were carrying out the check in procedure - causing delays to the guests, they wouldnt accept debit cards, the shuttle bus to the port was delayed for 20 mins...

Overall it was an excellent stay despite the small small problems, dont know what went wrong this time with the service level, however I would be definately returning to this hotel next year!

From pick-up at the airport until the transfert back, everything was absolutely perfect! Amazing service, trully 5 stars (it belogs to the Leading Hotels of the World)! Great room, cleaned twice a day, new towels all the time, welcome bottle of wine and fruits!! Incredible restaurants, excellent breakfast buffet! While every hotel charges you for an expresso, you can have whatever you like included! If the restaurant crew learns that you have a special wish, it will be served to you every morning (cherries in our case!!). Dinner in the openair restaurant overlooking the sea was amazing, again the crew spoiled us, including the maitre Dionisos! We didn't used the SPA although it looked awesome, just the fitness room which was good enough and well kept. We also didn't use much the pools although there was plenty of room for lots of people, simply because the beach area reserved for hotel guests and the service on the beach were absolutely impecable (thanks to Henrique and Irini!!). We were planning some visits around the island but the beach was so incredible that we stayed there every day for the whole 2 weeks! A hotel shuttle took us to Mykonos town every night and back, not a single worry about renting a car or such! Absolutely everyone in the hotel was friendly and attentive, I've been to Mykonos several times before and must say that this was the best vacation ever, no doubt thanks to this hotel. I'm definetely hoping to return again! Mykonos town became such a hasle, cruise ships bringing thousands of tourists every night, we were much better off on the beach! We also met a lot of very nice people and made great new friends! Elia beach is also the place to be, great restaurants day and night, with a little bit for everyone (the other beaches have been taken over by the very young crowds!!).

We spent 2 weeks in this resort from end June to 8th July.
Overall a very positive experience and a appreciable value for monies since booking in advance we got an upgrade to a wonderful room with an external jacuzzi and a large terrace with awesome sea view.
We used to stay in 5 stars resort and must say that this resort has been a positive surprise especially if compared to the European level of service: personnel was always very friendly and attentive.
To give an overview of the resort we would describe as follow:
ROOM: our room was exceeding the expectations especially for the amazing terrace with jacuzzi. Room was well decorated and "feels new".
Bathroom has bathtub without separate shower (not appropriate for a 5 stars resort); bath amenities were the most complete set ever found!
HOUSEKEEPING: room was cleaned twice a day and I would say that they over clean the room providing to change all towels and bathrobe twice a day even if not required.......nor at the fourseason`s I have seen a so maniac attitude!
BREAKFAST: Again a very complete buffet where probably the weak point is the selection of fresh fruit but they compensate offering unlimited fresh real orange juice that I have never found in other hotel if not as extra to be paid.
DINING: we ate at the hotel a couple of time, during peak season better to make a reservation if you want an outside table.
Service is perfect, food is pretty good but selection limited especially if you want to dine there everyday.
Cost for a full meal with wine is approx.60-70 € per person that considering the average price is Mykonos is reasonable considering the ambient and location.
Outside of hotel there are a couple of taverna where to eat spending approx. 30-40 € per person.
However most of the people go out for dinner in Mikonos town using the complimentary bus provided by the hotel.
BEACH: here lies the only problem with the resort , beach is nice, water is deep blue but you feel cramped and jammed because of the distance among cabanas. During our stay resorts were not full so there were a fair availability of cabanas but thinking to peak season I would be disappointed by the density of cabanas; being a 5 stars resort I think they should double the beach area or decrease by half number of cabanas.
Lounge chairs are comfortable but cabana umbrella are too small and low.
Beach service is basic but not comparable with other resorts of this level.

In conclusion a very good experience and a perfect resort for whom is looking for quietness and silence, if your scope is to be 24 hrs. Into Mykonos parties this is not your resort

Myconos is beautiful and the Myconian Imperial Hotel is a great choice if you are going to stay there. The room was clean, large, bed was comfortable and the views from the nicely furnished balconies are spectacular. The pool was refreshing in the hot Greek summer. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times and couldn't have asked for more.
In short our stay was more than we had hoped for and left us with some wonderful memories of a very special place on a very special island. Those memories will last a lifetime.

I cannot rave enough about this hotel. It has two beautiful salt-water pools and a short walk down the driveway to the beach that has incredibly clean, clear water. The food both for breakfast buffet and the dining room food is great. Service? extremely attentive-especially my favorite Harry and Dan in the dinning room and the front desk? Like having a personal aide. I had a scary medical emergency, high blood pressure and swollen legs and feet. The desk called Dr. Assimomitis who arrived one hour later and in my room, & gave me a physical. He changed my medication and gave me a prescription along with water pills and his card, saying if you have any more problems, call me. His treatment was totally correct and within three days, I was pretty much back to normal. The state-side doctor that caused this problem has been fired, needless to say. The hotel provides a free bus service going into the port on a very convenient schedule. If you are going to stay beyond midnight in the port, take a cab back to the hotel-it's no big deal! I have travelled all around the world and I can say without reservation that this is the best hotel I have EVER stayed at. This hotel is soo serene and great place to lay back and be pampered, then travel to the port if you want excitement , crowds, and amazing little buildings housing mini stores and waterfront restaurants. Loved it!

I wanted to go to Mykonos for few years already because of the nigh life. Well, I was definitely in the wrong hotel for that. Nothing against the hotel, it is on great location, although one cannot observe the so famous Mykonian sunset because there are some hills on the west. Room was spacious, but bathroom was not. We even had some ants in the bath. I like the way rooms are arranged through out the hotel.
They are not in one building, but with open corridors connected to the main part of the hotel with restaurant and reception. There are just 2 rooms one above the other; we had the one above, what was great regarding the view and privacy. Some lower rooms have direct exit to the garden, which is great, you can relax on the deck chair on the grass, but the same way could “unwanted guests” enter into your room. Staff in the pool restaurant is very kind, couple times a day there is free refreshment offered (fresh fruit or fruit juice) and guests are also served on their chairs. There is one whirlpool with warm water at the terrace too.
Spa treatments are not worth mentioning, nothing bad will happen to you there, but it is obvious that therapists don’t enjoy in their work. They are all female and don’t spare a smile.
