Great breakfast, friendly staff, great room with wifi. Had relatives come to swim with us who live in Mankato. We had a fun relaxing time. We could come to rest during the day. Very quiet in hallway even though we were near the elevator.

Room Tip: We had no problems with the room we had.

We stayed at this property last weekend when we went to Mankato for a wedding. The front desk clerk was efficient and friendly, and handed us a complimentary gift bag for being a Rewards member. That was a nice surprise. Of course, the most important this is that our room was spotlessly clean and the bedding was comfy. I can always count on a Marriott!

Our ball teams stayed at the Fairfield Inn, Mankato in June 2014. Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there and no games were played, so we spent most of our time at the hotel. But the hotel did a good job accommodating our team as well as a couple others. They allowed us to use the breakfast room for a pizza party gathering.

The pool was slightly small but sufficient. The rooms weren't very spacious, but they were big enough, especially considering the reasonable rate. The beds were a bit firm, but comfortable, and the pillows were terrific. The rooms and the rest of the property seemed clean and well tended. The staff was very friendly (Alicia and two others, but I didn't get the other names).

The free breakfast was good; waffles, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, a few cereal options, oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, milk, several juice options, a couple coffee options, skim & 2% milk (cute little mini cartons), etc., but because they were so busy, the gal stocking the food had somewhat of a hard time keeping everything filled (I ended up sharing a waffle w/my daughter because the batter was empty for a while - but it was okay because 1/2 a waffle was plenty for each of us).

The hotel is located among many restaurants, stores, etc., so it is very convenient (although there was major road construction going on when we were there, so it was very tricky to get to).

All in all it was a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area. I would also recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: The king rooms have a frig and micro, but the 2Q rooms did not.

Good location in town. Clean room, comfy bed, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed 2 nights on a holiday weekend. Continental breakfast looked good (we ate out with friends). Pool and fitness room also available.

We expected a nicer room. The bed was wet. They moved us to another room but not without complaint and no credit at all. Too many kids at the hotel running free in the halls with wet swim suits unsupervised. Annoying. That is not the hotel's fault but it would have been nice if parents were asked to keep their kids under control after 10 pm. The breakfast was good.

The bed issue makes me wonder about hotel's cleaning staff.

We stayed here one night traveling to Twin Cities. You kind of have to take an interior road to get to here, but is not difficult. Room was clean. Getting a rollaway was not an issue. Pool area and hot tub was nice with plenty of towels. Staff and other guests were friendly. Good tv channel selection. Little to no noise all night long. Beds a little firm for my liking and pillows a little soft, so I had to use more than one. Bathroom adequate. A little disappointed in cheap toiletries used by this quality of hotel. The continental breakfast was nice selection. We really liked the hot scrambled eggs and sausage patties. They could probably use an additional waffle maker because there is only one. The seating is limited and gets very congested a times. The staff did do an excellent job keeping items refilled and things moved along. I would recommend maybe moving things around to try for better flow. Overall, nice hotel, nice price, nice area. Would not have any issues or reservations about staying here again.

Room Tip: I always prefer the top floor to avoid overhead noise.

I`m a business traveler who had a lengthy stay @ the hotel. The staff was outstanding and seemed to enjoy a high degree of cooperation with each other. They were friendly, eager to please & went the extra mile. They were very professional in every interaction. The breakfast was good, 42" TV, comfortable bed & clean rooms. The only area to improve would be the climate control(noise & difficult to adjust). Access to roads & convenience to shops was very good and the immediate area has multiple restaurant choices. They had access to the Anytime Fitness club about 1 mile away, but nothing in the hotel. I was able to meet in the lobby with clients, which was comfortable & a quiet place to meet. Thank You Fairfield Inn!!
