We stayed here for 4 nights because we were in town for the Vikings game. The location is perfect if you are going to the football game. The metrodome is only a couple streets over. We loved all the restaurants around the hotel too. SpoonRIver, Sea Change and Sanctuary are amazing!
The hotel is taking a new self help approach which I thought really worked. They have 24 hour service for quick food and free internet on computers in the lobby. The lobby is very "W-like" as it is the lounge and bar in one. There is a pool table, shuffle board, indoor pool and outdoor patio. The bar was very "happening" both weekend nights when we got back around midnight. It is a popular hang out with a DJ both nights. SO if you are looking for low key and quiet, don't stay here. We loved the free shuttle that took you anywehree within a 5 mile radius. It was available several times for us at the last minute!
The rooms were large, clean and spacious. The only 2 complaints were the closet space and no black out curtains. The closet can only hold a few things so if you come with coats and clothes there is not enought room for 2 people. Also, when trying to take a nap or sleep in the room is very light because there are no "black out" curtains. It was a little annoying. Other than that we loved it. We will be back to the Aloft again!

Make sure you walk the trails and visit the adjoining museums. A definite must if you are a nature lover. Be sure to pack water, the walking could become a half a day, just outside alone. Extremely close to The MetroDome, and free shuttle to The Twins Target Field. Transportation is readily available. Mall of America easy to access with rail car.
Hotel offers billiards, a pool, a lounge and just a great place to hang out.

The hotel was very clean and modern. The location was super - within walking distance of the Vikings football stadium. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the city. It was fun to stay at a hotel that is a little bit different... for example, check in desk is a round table in the center of the lobby. Only disappointment was lack of free parking.

Paid $107.00 for a suite (533) that must have been close to 1200 square feet. Huge living room with separate bedroom. There was seating for at least 12 people in the living room, so if you want to have a party, this is the place. For us it functioned well for our toddler to play and jump around!

Great view of the Humphry Dome out the huge windows. If you are into modern furnishings and spartan decor, you'll love this hotel. Comfy lobby with plenty of amenities for lounging. Self service nook with plenty of reasonably priced food options.

Since I hate places with hovering bellman, and staff everywhere lurking to provide trivial services for a tip, this place was heaven. If you need baggage help or expect lush amenities, this is not your hotel. If you expect, comfartable, clean, affordable and stylish accomodations with a few nice touches, you like the Aloft.

This is my first but definitely not my last stay at the Aloft chain!

This hotel is amazingly fun with their modern lounge, great pool and workout room and the overall atmosphere. The hotel is immaculately clean and located right off the river for great nightlife and activity. Wonderful restaurants (sushi, thai, american) exist all within walking distance. There is also a bike share program in Mpls with stalls right outside the hotel.

I stayed at the Aloft for three nights. The room was a reasonable size, clean, and comfortable. There is a nice bar area in the hotel lobby and an area to buy beverages, snacks, sandwiches and salads (pre-made). I had a small problem that was solved quickly by Thomas at the front desk.

Pro: Quite, nice down comforter, general design good.

Poor: Romm too small, tiny closet, no drawers, only 1 wash cloth, no drinking glass (paper or glass), coffee was single cup but they only gave you 1 reg. coffee, had to ask for hangers .No cold water after ran for 10minutes(room temp).

Refrig. didn't work,no maint. on duty at 7pm, electical outlet in bathroom didn't work, next day had to call again for someone to fix refrig, never did get outlet fixed so there was only 1 outlet due to the fridg in the other. The floor in the shower was dirty, clean where most people would stand then black round that spot. Toilet paper and tissue very thin and cleap. Food was way over priced especially with a market a block down the street, yogurt for $2:50 or $1.39????.

The bar area was nice but Fri night there were so many outsiders there was no room for hotel guess, speed dating and a trunk show going on in the small lobby?

this might be ok if you were alone, one night could live out of your suitcase.
