We stayed here for 4 nights because we were in town for the Vikings game. The location is perfect if you are going to the football game. The metrodome is only a couple streets over. We loved all the restaurants around the hotel too. SpoonRIver, Sea Change and Sanctuary are amazing!
The hotel is taking a new self help approach which I thought really worked. They have 24 hour service for quick food and free internet on computers in the lobby. The lobby is very "W-like" as it is the lounge and bar in one. There is a pool table, shuffle board, indoor pool and outdoor patio. The bar was very "happening" both weekend nights when we got back around midnight. It is a popular hang out with a DJ both nights. SO if you are looking for low key and quiet, don't stay here. We loved the free shuttle that took you anywehree within a 5 mile radius. It was available several times for us at the last minute!
The rooms were large, clean and spacious. The only 2 complaints were the closet space and no black out curtains. The closet can only hold a few things so if you come with coats and clothes there is not enought room for 2 people. Also, when trying to take a nap or sleep in the room is very light because there are no "black out" curtains. It was a little annoying. Other than that we loved it. We will be back to the Aloft again!
