This is truly a unique museum--who knew the history of flour could be so interesting? The Flour Tower really makes this museum. The Flour Tower is an elevator ride and mutlimedia presentation of the history of the building. Riders exit at the top to fantastic views of the river and the dam. The lower level has a kitchen demonstration room with samples of bakery, exhibits, and a water exhibit that kept the kids busy. There's also a great gift shop on the first floor.

We spent about 2 hours here. Highly recommend the show in the grain elavator and the movie on the history of Minneapolis, both included in the price. Great view from the observation deck on the top floor.

The exhibits are very educational, the reproduced rooms and rides to throughout the mill were authentic and entertaining. The food in the restaurant was very good, well worth the cost. Many weddings are held in the courtyard, there is an elevator ride to the top of the mill with a terrific view of the city.

This was a wonderful change for a wedding reception from a boring conference room in a hotel or even a country club. The food was excellent and it was so interesting to be able to wander the museum during the reception. The views on the north side of the building overlooking the river were great also. I would recommend this facility to anyone who would like a unique location for an event.

I am so glad that I found out about the Mill City Museum! I love exposed brick, so I thought that the whole Mill Quarter was beautiful. The history of the flour mills was really interesting, and all of the staff members were incredibly knowledgeable and nice. I just wish that it wasn't winter when I went so that I could have gone out in the courtyard!
