The best thing about Minnehaha park are the falls. So, you might be a bit disappointed if you go during a dry spell, as the falls can become nothing more than a trickle if it hasn't rained alot. I have been there in the winter, when the falls look like big icicles and in the summer when the falls are raging. Wear your walking shoes, as it is a hike down many stairs to get to the bottom of the falls, where the views are best. Do continue walking down along the river to the MIssissippi river as it is a great, well used trail. There is a bridge near the river, so you can walk down one side of the river and then up the other side. The park also has picnic tables, benches and concessions. You have to pay a few bucks to park, but totally worth it when the falls are rushing! It's a must see spot if you are a visitor to the Twin Cities.
