“Great seats no matter where your at”
Review of Williams Arena

The best thing about this arena is no matter where you sit you have great seats. Prices are a bit high but people don't tend to mind. Parking is relatively easy to find within a decent walk and parking fees aren't horrible.

Great Times in a Grand Old Building. I been to more then half the Big Ten Basketball Arenas. Nothing compares to rock en old lady, the barn. It is a great place for watching college basketball. It has a special magic, even when its empty.

I haven't visited in years but had the pleasure of doing so in 1988 and 1989. I'm a Big Ten basketball fan and so see the arena regularly on TV to this day. It doesn't seemed to have changed much over the years. Walk down the ramp into the arena and you find yourself not much above eye level with the raised floor, unusual among U.S. arenas. The Golden Gophers have hosted some fine talent over the years and this place has ample history.

The building is split into two parts. The west end used to house the men's hockey team until the 90's. It has been remodeled into a gym for the volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling teams. Well worth the detour to see as it is among the dozen most historic college basketball arenas.

Check out this historical place. The arena just reeks history. Played there in the 70's and have been a fan of this place ever since. Parking can be an issue if you don't like to walk a long way

Tubby Smith bad-mouthed this facility; Richard Pitino loves it. It is a great venue for watching college basketball. Had season tickets for years. Gave them up. Might invest in them again.
