“Built in the 60's just as Mary Richards was moving to Mpls.”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

Ground zero for Mary Tyler Moore fans. 50 story tall - Mpls tallest - by law! Big public comples on ground floow, and above, in central atrium area - The Crystal Court. The complex houses a very good hotel and fery good restaurats. MTM fans will especially enjoy a meal at the 3rd floor Basil's. Ask to sit at the MTM table. The resturant jcantalivers out, over the massive temp-controlled courtyard below. Featured on the opeing of the MTM Show, Mr. Grant and Mary could be seen dining... and you can actually sit at the very table. Or sit indside, in the very attractive, contempory formal dining room.
Dood is very good! Varied, fusion and American. Pop accross the street -Nicollet Mall - a nd get of picture of you hugging a hat-tossing Mary...the statue is just outside the corner entrance to Macy's.

“Crystal Court is stunning”
Reviewed 1 April 2013

The crystal court is one of my favorite places. It's also adjacent to another of my favorite places - Gavidea (sp?) Commons. Just take the skyway from Crystal Court second level that's marked for Gavidea Commons.

“Tallest Building in Minneapolis”
Reviewed 7 March 2013

Nice layout; open space; but after all, it's just an office building. Architecture appealing but not especially unique.

“It has gone down hill.”
Reviewed 21 December 2012

It had great restaurants and shops and now everything, including the architecture, seems worn out, out of style.

“Stop by when you are downtown”
Reviewed 17 December 2012

While Christmas shopping we went to the IDS center and their Crystal Court and they had a musician playing live music and they had an incredibly large Christmas tree there. Ground level has a cool fountain that has water coming from the roof. In years past you had to be wary of guys who take naps on benchs. Have been here hundreds of times on the skyway system and have been to the 50th floor several years ago for a dinner. For MSP it is the iconic tall skyscraper and worthwhile if you are already downtown to visit.
