We had a view of the IDS Crystal Court. We were located on Nicollet Mall. At the end of the day, the bed was wonderful. THe hotel staff were very accommodating. I wish I could have stayed longer! Parking was reasonable.

We needed a place to stay for one night as we were coming up for a high school state football game and wanted it to be within walking distance of the dome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We had not even reached our room yet when an employee met us in the hall asking if we needed additional towels, etc. and if there was anything else she could do. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing missing was a pool but given the fact that we didn't have time for swimming, it wasn't a big deal. We reserved this room using priceline.com so the price was right for us.

They rates seem high to you, but they want more money! What is free at a good hotel costs extra here. The Basil Restaurant is slow, expensive and not worth it. The front desk told me to take a cab from the airport "It will not be more than $20". It is $42.
I would switch hotels if I didn't have to work during the day through checkout time. I will stay and pay.

Room Tip: To choose a good room, go elsewhere.

Killer location and rooms nice. Charge for Internet by device, which in a modern traveling family means you are spending $25 a day for access. Staff appears to be indifferent but like the other reviews mentioned the valets are there with your car in no time and helpful.

This hotel in the EDS Tower is from another age and since that age now is viewed with Nostalgia, there are some advantages.

The rooms are pretty big with nice views, the desks and chairs are very nice. Desk was actually fantastic, very long and curved. Nice "retro" decor. Brand New flatscreen TV.

Now for the bad parts, dingy cramped bathroom, room was a double and one bed was pushed against wall and quite cramped, worst shower conversion ever, though it let me get hit by water from an amazing amount of angles. Bathtub was unusable, except to stand in for shower.

Stayed two nights, beds were less comfortable than what I am used to, sheets weren't great. In the morning my feet were itching. Second night they itched like crazy. It was bad enough I started looking for bugs, didn't find any but my feet itched all day afterwards, but it went away in my next hotel.

We stayed at the Marquette a few years back and returned again this year to be close to downtown. A great palce with a warm welcome from the desk agent who was great. The room was fantastic, although the window was left open by housekeeping (it's cold in November...) they looked after it before it was an issue. The exec lounge on the 19th floor is great. Friendly staff and great food choices for early evening snacks or breakfast. The concierge has always been top notch for both our stays there. Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and different places.

There is simply no other place worth staying at when we drive into town from now on.

Room Tip: Staying on the executive floors is well worth the price difference.

This is a gorgeous hotel, with very nice sized rooms, especially on the sixth floor. It is easy to find, and convenient to a lot of downtown Minneapolis, including the Twins stadium (within walking distance of a few blocks). There is a decent restaurant off the lobby (I agree the lobby is rather smallish), and sadly the wait staff there was not terribly attentive to my party, though I guess it was rather late at night (after the baseball game).

Room Tip: If you are really interested, there is a 13th floor AND there is a room 666! Just a weird thing I no...
