This stop was ideal for an evening business get together. Great location - right on the Red River. Usher's House was booked with a private party [we were there on a Tuesday night], so we had reservations at Monk's Pub.
It is a repurposed library - the architecture is visually interesting and well done. Although nearly every table was full, the acoustics made it easy for us to hear each other without raising our voices.
Our food was outrageous - the best butternut squash pasta I've ever had [melt in your mouth good] - others at our table remarked about the walleye [very good], and the rib-eye [exceptional]. If this wasn't the best meal we've had in a while, it ranks at the very top.
Our server was everything you hope for: attentive and knowledgeable with an upbeat and professional personality.
We will definitely be visiting again in the future.
