It "appears" to be run by a family during the day...grandparents are the maids, son and daughter run the desk and various other family members seen t/o the day and they are very friendly and polite. I had no issues with the girls in the evenings either and they were very accomodating to any request. The rooms and property are very dingy and outdated. The carpet in my room is prob 20-30yrs old, covered in burnholes and if it were cleaned the actual color would be tan but is so filthy it looks green. The bedspread is pure polyester from the 80's or 90's as well and looks like it would ignite if you get too close with a cigarette. The bed is decent but the pillows are awful, mushy, bumpy messes. There are 5 on our king and if they would just buy 2 decent king pillows would have made all the difference in sleeping through the night. The furniture is old, tv is old, couch looks nice but all work w/o problems but if they would just replace the carpet and the bedspread, this room would look competely different. A/C functions good but noticed in the mornings the carpet was soaked wet about a foot out from unit. The bathroom in my king room has separate vanity from actual toilet/shower but if you are going to use the toilet and shut the door, you have to be completely against the bathtub to shut the door. I am 5'6", 140# and the door barely makes it passed me to shut, so if you are a bigger person, you are never going to shut the bathroom door when using the toilet. Shower was great with plenty of hot water, water pressure and lighting to see in the shower. I am a late sleeper so cannot speak of the breakfast but I wouldnt rate a hotel stay based on a pre-packaged continental breakfast that I can buy at any gas station, especially when there is a McDonalds and a BP gas station right next door. I used the laundry facilities and it is a single washer and dryer..$1.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry and are incredibly old but did the job. The dryer runs for 45 mins but clothes were still wet and always had to add more money to finish drying. I had to get quarters at the gas station as they didnt have enough at the desk but I was washing A LOT of clothes. There is no elevator, so you have to drag luggage up stairs to get to second floor rooms. I used the iron and ironing board and they worked fine but coffee maker is missing lid on pot and if you dont use something to depress the knob underneath the basket, coffee just stays in the basket and would overflow. I am staying 5 nights and everything else in the area was booked. Decent price on the room but room definitely needs some TLC.
