We stayed at this hotel for the 2nd year in a row for a soccer tournament in Blaine, MN. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive from the fields. There really is not much around for restaurants or entertainment within walking distance, it is a bit of an industrial area. However, it is always very clean, well kept, quiet, and has lots of great ammenities. We enjoy the mini kitchen allowing us to bring food and not needing to eat out all the time. The full size fridge is great, along with a large microwave, and two stove top burners. The staff are always pleasent, and they also serve a great breakfast with lots of options in the AM. We ate around 9 and there was still plenty of food, I know many hotels ofen "run out" of food at that time, but not Homewood Suites. We are a HH Honers member and we did ask to be upgraded to a two queen beds suite, instead of the king bed with a pull out sleeper. We were offered this opportunity at a $50 charge. The hotel did not appear to be full, so we were a bit let down that an upgrade was not given. Regardless, for the price we paid, it was a pleasent stay. We may look to someplace closer next year however.More
