For a 2 bedroom condo that topped $300.00 per night we felt the rates were a bit overpriced for the quality of the room. The bedding was pretty outdated and I think the housekeepwes forgot to vacuum as there was candy wrappers and crumbs on the bedroom floor upon arrival. One major inconvenience is that the pool (although fantastic with a waterslide, warm tub and 0' entry) is in a totally seperate building. Although this is probably not an issue in the summer during the winter it is a major inclnvience to bundle up 4 kids to treck back and forth to the pool. On a positive note, the breakfast buffet is absolutly amazing and the lakeside location of the resort is fantastic. We also experienced some of the best customer service I have ever encountered during our stay. I have a feeling that returning guests probably don't keep going back because of the overpriced lodging but because of the fantastic customer service!

I attended a two day meeting at Grandview in January. The weather wasn't good but the facilities, food and service made up for it. From the front desk staff through the banquest servers, the people were great. I am looking forward to coming back.

Absolutely love this resort. Have stayed a few times with my husband's company for golf trips and have always loved it, but thought that was because of all the company "perks". This time we did it alone and it was just as wonderful. Food in both the bar and dining room was declicious! Breakfast brunch has everything! We went dog sledding and tubing, and just snuggled up by the fire! We are looking to plan a family trip before the snow melts! Recommend to everyone!

Who Knew? We have stayed at Grand View a couple of times in the summer, but never knew that it was such a great winter get away. We went up with our kids and another family and had a spectacular time. They had dog sledding, horse drawn hay rides, cross country sking, show shoeing and ice rinksand of course their great indoor pool with giant slide for the kids. In addition, they had wine tasting options and cooking classes for the adults. They also had plenty of evening activities including movies, bingo and "Minute-to-Win-It." As usual, the staff was great and the cabins very nice.

We've been to Grand View lodge at least 5 or 6 times in the fall/winter. The property is lovely, the cabins/rooms well maintained, and the staff is wonderful. We generally rent an Interlachen cabin (but have stayed in the main lodge once) and just returned from our annual Thanksgiving trip with friends and family. We love the breakfast at the main lodge and we love being able to cook in our own cabin. The exercise room is a bit small and in the same building as the pool which has a water slide. The Glacial Waters Spa is super nice and reasonably priced - I would recommend a spa treatment or two. Our only complaint is that the Interlachen cabins don't have wireless internet - which would be a nice perk but we do travel with our mifi which gets good signal.

I highly recommend the Grand View Lodge!

Staff was flexible in accommodating the unique needs of our group and made the planning experience hassle free.
The chamber maids that cleaned our cabin (cabin 6 at Deacon's) did an excellent job cleaning up our mess. Also, they did us a huge favor by putting our warm beer on ice so it was cold when we got back to our cabin!
The pro shop guys at the Preserve were very nice - very friendly and helpful.
The guys at Deacon's were equally nice and accommodating.

Staff took excellent care of us from top to bottom. Pro shop staff was friendly and helpful, bag boys were fun to chat with and took care of us, and the bev ladies were nice as well.
The course (Deacon's) was beautiful. We saw at least a dozen deer and a couple bald eagles.
