Have wanted to have dinner here for years and finally got the chance last Saturday night. Promptly seated for our reservation by the friendly host we had an unusual table that sort of overlooks the room. Had requested a window seat but this one proved to be better as it was more private and quiet. Service was excellent. Friendly, personable and timed just right. Calamari app was done perfectly and the chili sauce added a nice subtle heat. Salads were fresh and served on chilled plates they way it should be. I had the NY and it was done perfectly with great flavor, my partner enjoyed the Gorgonzola pasts which was very flavorful. We deviated from our usual wine choice of Pinot Noir and tried a cab that was surprisingly too sweet.
The room has been recently remodeled and is beautifully appointed-very St. Paul Grill-like which is not what you would expect in this “up North” setting but provided for a nice experience. We would have loved to sit outside on the great deck overlooking the lake had the weather been better. Next time!
