Joe and Ellen, your resort is lovely! There is a lot for people to do while staying here, and I really enjoyed hearing the loons throughout our visit! It was very peaceful, and I will definitely be planning a return trip!!

We stayed in cabin 1. Well stocked kitchen. Clean rooms and living room. Cozy with a nice deck! We were there with our 6 & 9 year old sons. They loved fishing off the dock, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The raft and trampoline were fun too. The lake is small but quiet. We rented the pontoon boat one day. Enjoyed rolls from Emmaville and we were not too far from Itasca State Park. We enjoyed our five day stay but would certainly stay longer next time.

I took my 2 sons up to the Itasca area for a few days of camping, exploring, and enjoying the area. We typically stay at state parks when we stay in a tent. This time I explored other options, and found Sleeping Fawn online. From the moment we arrived Ellen and Joe made us feel so welcome. Their tent sites are perfectly located so you feel like your truly away from the hustle and bustle and one with nature. Waking up to the sounds of the loons on the lake was so awesome! My boys and I enjoyed many of the amenities that Sleeping Fawn offers....including kayaking, paddle boarding, paddle boating, bean-bag toss, and a bonfire at our site every night. My boys even enjoyed fishing from their kayaks. We had a blast every day! The resort is also conveniently located within a short drive of Itasca State Park! Extra awesome bonus...Ellen and Joe make fresh coffee every morning for their guests! We will definitely be back, and we will make this an annual place to enjoy every summer!

Thank you Stacy and boys. It is always nice to know how we compare to State Parks. We assure that a stay with us will be memorable. We are glad they boys enjoyed our wide variety of water toys included in rates. Coffee is always a must while camping. Glad we are able to provide it.

My new husband and I camped at this resort with his parents. They have been coming here for many years and this was my 2nd visit. It has everything you need: paddle boards, pontoon, yard games, kayaks, paddle boats, shuffle board, trampoline in the water, floating dock for swimmers, and a great swimming area that's great if we had kids. Everything is clean and well kept. There are private showers and bathrooms that are the cleanest I've seen at a resort. Ellen and Joe take a lot of pride in their place and it shows. It's nice and quiet, not over crowded... Camp sites have space for private activities, but there is also space provided for everyone to share, such as the new activity room. We had a great stay and enjoyed every minute there. We can't wait to come back next summer!!

We LOVE Sleeping Fawn Resort. We bring up our camper trailer. The sites are very roomy and tucked in the beautiful pines! It is very peaceful. The sites are always spotless and the shower room is like your home...private, clean, hot showers. They have added an activity room that has a large flat screen TV - we were able to watch the World Cup! There is free coffee every morning too. I have not even got to the best part - the lake. It's so quiet and beautiful. Joe has the shore lined with kayaks, paddle boats and paddle boards to use for free. He also has boats you can rent - we rented a pontoon and fished one afternoon. He also has a floating dock and a big, round inflatable bouncy station too! The large sandy beach has plenty of sun chairs and swings and volley ball net and more! Sleeping Fawn is a great resort for your up north vacation - I highly recommend it!!

Lovely lake, quiet retreat in the piney woods. Joe and his mom makes this little gem our favorite place in the north woods. We have come here annually for 7-8 years now, and we'll keep on coming! Have our reservation for next year already!

We had a wonderful time at the sleeping fawn! We even extended our stay when it surprisingly became avalible. We just didn't seem to want to leave! All the amenities are wonderful, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly as well. So much to do with fishing and paddle boats, shuffle board and many other games. We didnt even want to leave for the surrounding attractions, we were happy staying at the resort. It also has a beautiful beach area to relax with a book, and plenty of the kindest seasonal guests to become acquainted with. Where we stayed with our camper..the wooded area was teeming with birds and animals. We also got a tour of the cabins... Top notch. Just beautiful. A photographers heaven with the animals and nature in the area, not to mention the private lake. Beautiful. Perfect for a family getaway or if you just wanted a weekend to yourself to relax, go jogging, and enjoy the scenery. Joe and Ellen are the kindest hosts you'd ever want to meet! Overall this place is most certainly an A+. If you are looking for a perfect place to relax with an affordable price that has it all... The Sleeping Fawn is a must!
